Y&R definitely Phyllis.

Maybe it's time for Sharon to start a 'whole new life' elsewhere. Her kids -Faith is out of town, Mariah is barely on and that leaves only Noah.

So no story left for her-either back with Nick or yet another doomed romance.

She has no other family. Even if they decided to have Mariah on more often or bring Faith back, they could visit Sharon from time to time.

And Sharon Case is not bringing much these days...

Leo Stark owns this thread. This character is way, way, wayyyy passed his shelf life I've been coming up with ways to get rid of him for years, all of which involve him being killed off, for real. I

"I wanted somebody to care."

You just reminded me that I saw Barbra sing "I Stayed Too Long At The Fair" at her Atlantic City concert at Boardwalk Hall in 2006.

I cried.

(Yes, I know I digress).

I'd still make him one of the Salem Sniper's victims, killed just seconds after uncovering their identity.

I can see it now.

Him running across the Square to tell Chad or somebody and then... BANG! 😂

1000%. TK is a great actor, but the character is such a pompous misogynistic a'hole that treats the women in his life as disposable garbage. I've never understood how we're supposed to believe that Brooke and Taylor will repeatedly degrade themselves for him. If Ridge were to die, it would free both of those characters from that toxic rinse and repeat storyline.

I also think it's time for Brooke to exit stage left.. and Taylor should also go since that thing isn't Taylor.

I still want to explore what would happen if Sharon's long-absent father were to come back into her life. At the very least, we could learn that Sharon killed him accidentally and then blocked it from her memory.

Another to add to the list: Drew Quartermaine (GH), who dies while having sex with Willow. (The paralytic agent she administered to him during his "lock in syndrome" damaged his heart).

I understand hehe

My first Streisand concert was at Madison Square Garden in 1994. Tickets were $500, and it was the best $500 I ever spent.

My favorite moment there was seeing her perform a duet with herself, singing to the large screen video of "A Piece of Sky."

Characters needing a rest? Every soap has someone I could name, but I'm going with Leo and Kristen from DAYS. They not only exhaust me, but they annoy me.

Death means nothing on soaps anymore but they fail to move on to new blood or a new generation over and over.

They could get some good momentum with the obvious suspects like Phyllis and Victor of Y&R and Leo and Kristin on DAYS but even entire families need to go.

Sonny being taken down and going to prison and having MB recur as family visits or characters briefly go to prison and cross his path would be an incredible arc and give the character new life while reinvigorating those around him.

Soaps don’t have the budget for billionaire families so they could all go, save B&B with the Forresters.

The entire DiMera and Kiriakis families can leave Salem, they have used and abused them for years and they’re a joke now. Make Salem a working class town again. They should had recentered around the Horton family and the children of John and Marlena ten years ago.

It’s insane that soaps killed off a slew of characters that meant something to the community of respected soap but have kept the same characters with the same storylines now over 10 years.

I agree! I've been saying for some time that Y&R needs to phase out the Newmans (save for Victor and Nikki) and Abbotts. They are beyond played out.

Kristen (and Susan) are two more Salem residents who could be added to the list of the Salem Sniper's victims.

GH- Sonny, Valentin both shot in the head

Leo- Any permanent death will do.

Victor- Character is beyond played out

People thought Bill Bell was crazy in the early 80s when he phased out the Brooks/Fosters... but it turned out that he was correct and the 80s/90s were stellar because the Abbotts, Winters, Williams, and Newman families were new and driving story.

He kept on Jill and used her to introduce everyone to the Abbotts and Jabot.. so I'm curious on who from the Newmans and Abbotts could we keep. I vote for Nikki especially since Victor could croak at anytime and a widowed Nikki would be interesting to explore.

Sharon has been played out and needs to go as well.

I wish Bell hadn't divorced the first decade of Y&R with the rest of the history of the show. I know he kept Jill, Katherine, Nikki, and Paul, but he should have incorporated some of the Fosters/Brooks/Prentiss family back into the mix over the decades.
