I really think Cassius's days are numbered although I am a bit nervous the show might keep Paevey and bring real Nathan back. Anna/Felicia discussing Nathan's missing body made me concerned.

GH should scrap the whole thing entirely, but I have never known Frank to give up so easily. It's obvious they couldn't play all the beats they wanted with Maxie and Spinelli at the Grand Canyon lol.

For some reason I got the impression this was supposed to be a short return anyway, and when things got stalled out because of Storms they extended it. I think Paevey said something along the lines of he was excited to return for this story, not excited to be back at the show, and that kind of parsing made me think it wasn’t ever planned to be a full return. Maybe that was just my interpretation. I also don’t care enough to go looking for any of his return interviews. Storms also teased when she came back from her initial leave the story was going to be incredible. That also never happened.

I will give him a little credit. He has been slightly less wooden this time and was clearly enjoying playing shady. But it’s not like when Rory arrived as Michael and really nailed it.

I think specifying it was medical school was a mistake. All Kristina had to say is I am feeling directionless and decided to get a new start in LA and am going back to school to find what I am passio

Ryan Paevey seems to be playing himself IMO. He has always been a bit snarky with (from what I vaguely recall, I could be wrong) tedious yet unsurprising opinions on social media. That persona is mildly engaging onscreen on occasion. And he's still a handsome man. That's about it. That's all I got.

We know next to nothing about Cassius' background or life before coming to town. We only know the circumstances of his birth, nothing about the man. We have gotten zero insight into what he feels or values. He is just a plot-driven character powered by FV's lust for the guy. There's no there there. A little snark doesn't get you too far. Britt's rocky return is proof of that, and KT is actually a half-decent actor by comparison.

I am not going to look back at his interviews either lol, but that does sound correct. I do recall him being excited about the "return" story not necessarily being back on the show.

Obviously Storms is an unreliable narrator to say the least, but I assume there was more than 5 Nathan/Maxie scenes planned originally lol.

5 feels like a generous recollection.

Controversial for the long term fans probably... but I loved Mac and Felicia way way back in the day, but today showed me how limited, or maybe too out of the game, Felicia (KW) is. If she just found out the possibility of her daughter's husband, her grandson's father, is maybe actually dead now and had a twin brother... I expected way more reaction. I noticed she pronounced Cassius like 'Cass-i-us' in the first scene and then corrected herself in the remaining scenes by saying 'Cash-i-us' like Anna did.

Coming back to this because I just got to the last few episodes. Both of them seem to have a hard time with that name a couple of times lol! And as far as Felicia goes, I think her reaction was fine, and showed more levels than the one Alexis had when Sonny told her who killed Marco. They are not close relatives of course, but Alexis has shown how traumatic finding him was a couple of times, and Danny is directly endangering himself.

I wonder if some of that up and down and lower levels instead of their stylized way soaps used to show drama has to do with block taping multiple episodes and how things are pieced together?
