You can tell this story is going over real well when talk of Britt grooming Rocco has broken fanbase containment. I don't think it is like that but it is a weird, weird look onscreen nonetheless and it's probably something Guza would have toyed with lmao.

We'll probably get heated response scenes in a month-plus of Rocco all but yelling directly at the camera "Britt did NOT groom me!!" with CVE sweating it in the writers' Zoom. Shades of Carlivati getting infuriated with fans talking about Robin's trauma being ignored from her long abduction and responding by having Robin have some very clunky, embarrassing scenes where she went on and on about having no PTSD in the middle of Kelly's.

I don't understand why someone didn't put a stop to this long ago. It was unpopular from jump and recent events have only made it worse. Jason isn't here to steer audience opinion either.

As long as when Britt eventually gets back into a corner and gets burned, the writers don't go there with Anna and Jason again...

I appreciate teenage Charlotte wore an outfit to her internship that even Amanda Setton would call matronly lol.

I don't think Britt is grooming Rocco per se. It seems like he romanticizes her actions and I don't mean that in a creepy sexual way. He just thinks of her as some tortured, put upon heroine that everyone misunderstands.

Yeah, I don't either but in addition to the already infuriating story for the last year it is now weird, unsettling and increasingly uncomfortable to watch. Especially hanging out in a tropical setting lol. Guza would totally go there though, before burying Britt under the hospital catacombs.

I tried to watch today's episode and cut this mess right off when I saw the Britt and Rocco scenes. This stuff is weird and uncomfortable to sit through. Rocco comes off like a boy with a crush, and Britt laps it up.

I hate it when writers stubbornly double down on bad stories like this one. GH gaslight their audience with the Luke and Laura rape/seduction triangulation, and keeps returning to the same playbook.

#1 Reason to bring back Guza.

Uncomfortable is the best way to describe it all especially having it all happen in front of Rocco's actual parents. It doesn't feel like any actor in the room today knew exactly how to play it. I do think Alexa and Dominic tried, but they even seemed confused by it all lol. I'll give Finn Carr a pass since he's young, but KT never has much emotional depth. Her reaction to Rocco today would be the same if Jason dumped her or Brad died or she found out she didn't have Huntington's. She is so one note.

100%. Which is what has always buried her onscreen for me, IMO. And people don't always talk about this but it goes way back.

It's easy to play up bitchy lines that are supposed to hit for a portion of the onliners and gain a little following, especially if your character is simply oppositional to some others part of the audience doesn't like. But snarky soap bitch is relatively easy to play. They tried to gave Britt pathos and dimension way back in 2013-2014 when RC became fond of her. KT couldn't play it, which is why I started naming her reaction shots before the cuts lol. "Misty Nausea, Dull Concern," etc. It was amateurish.

They tried to do it again in 2021 and she got lucky by having serious chemistry with Steve when he clearly had something to prove. But in terms of carrying emotional story on her own or injecting nuance? KT's never had it and she never will. That's why she gives up when she's not with Burton and the other pairings don't fly.
