Today made me laugh, Sonny you’re my best friend in the world that regularly kills people, but pleeeeease let the law that never puts you away for your murders handle this guy, I promise this time the law will work.

I do know of one friend that was learning how to pole dance for exercise as apparently its good for the core muscles. I actually could see Lucy doing that.

If the show framed it that way I wouldn't mind. Sure, great exercise and Lucy could literally have that response. It seemed like the writers were mocking Lucy (again).

It’s funny because I’m a late GH viewer so Lucy has been Nothing but the whacky aunt for me outside of the rare occasion they show an old non jokey flashback of her.

That's fair. I am not sure the writers have really gotten Lucy since her 2013 return. Lucy has always been eccentric and a bit goofy, but she had heart. She wasn't the butt of the joke. Her scenes with Tracy after Monica's death show Lucy/Lynn is capable of playing dramatic material still. She's also one of the few actresses that make Mo/Sonny come alive onscreen when they are together.

I honestly don't care if Lucy is just comic relief these days. Although I wish it was less mean spirited. Everyone from Maxie, Brook Lynn, to Tracy acts like Lucy is always one wacky move away from losing everything for Deception, the company she created. It feels like a waste of a good actress and a good character, but that's GH for you lol.

I guess I should be grateful Lucy isn't talking about slaying vampires anymore.

Those scenes with Tracy after Monica’s death was the best work I’ve ever seen from Lucy. It made me want to see more of that Lucy.

She has some beautiful scenes during the BJ/Maxie heart transplant, the one with Alan comes to mind. It was interesting seeing her growth as it was happening. She was mostly a selfish schemer who had a heart but was often her own worst enemy trying to social climb. But the Labine’s took Lynn’s ability to do screwball comedy and kind of revealed her to be an eccentric person more than a villain. You could see where this person was maybe a nerd at one point and her background in library science made sense. She was still often comic relief, but she was also very hot tempered and it wasn’t all a joke at her expense.

To me, her evolution began with Deception, she finally had her own ideas to stand on and saw success, and her relationships with Scotty and Dominique and being the surrogate for Serena. It kind of culminated with her part in the Damian/Bobbie storyline, and how it intersected with BJ’s accident. She had been working at being a better person and then was part of something that hurt people again, and didn’t like how it made her feel to do that to Tony and even Bobbie, who she did not ever have a good relationship with.
