It's soapy, so I'm accepting it and will enjoy the outcome, but I still personally find it odd that Bill and Dani had sex in the elevator. I can get behind a heavy makeout, but trapped in an elevator during a tornado, when your lives and your families' lives are in danger... to have sex? Seems wild, especially if you logistically think about the timing of it all. And I know Bill isn't a one-pump chump! 😜

Thoughts:

• Not Dana flat-out admitting she would murder Katherine. 👀 May not like Katherine, but that would be a line crossed too far.

• So, Katherine spent the night at Orphey Gene's? That is insane. She could not afford a room at the Bowman for one night?

• Damn. Messy, post-sex hair. Wow. And damn... bacon in the morning? Sign me up. Bacon is appropriate at all times of the day and night. And I love how complimentary Kial is of Nicole. Smooth-talker.

• Dani is spiraling after her tornado sex in an elevator, and Bill is revved up and ready to go for round two. And ooh, he described it as making love. Interesting. He clearly felt more about it than Dani did.

• Ugh. No. Not you too, Andre. Why are you defending Katherine? Ew. Gross. Stop it. You are quickly moving into my 's**t list'.

• Oh yes. Dani is spiraling. But I do not think it is because of what happened, but more so because she cannot accept that she wanted it to happen.

• Her mouth, Kial? Oh, careful with your words, although I do suspect that more than her mouth is happy this morning. But Kial is such a kind-hearted and caring individual. I do not see Carlton calling in or checking on Nicole at all.

• Chelsea, I understand the soft approach towards Katherine. However, this is not new behaviour for her. Her character is known and it is ugly. Stop handling her with kid gloves. Be blunt like Izaiah and Martin.

• So Carlton ~is~ around, I see. Very interesting. And of course he would call as Kial was leaving. Pathetic.

• This behaviour is very unbecoming of Bill; however, it also shows that perhaps he is realising that his choices were not made for the right reason. And Dani, you said you were letting go of Bill multiple times before. Same song and dance. You two cannot keep away from each other for very long.

• Oh snap. So the next twelve to twenty-four hours are extremely vital for Eva and her life. That is heavy and scary.

• No one acts like you owe Eva your liver, but nothing is stopping you from being tested at the very least. You do not want to test for anything... BRCA2 or blood matches. See... Nicole has the right mindset: take the test, but still think about it. But being careless and selfish enough not to even test is stupid.

• Wow. I am surprised that she agreed to be tested. I am sure once that band-aid is on, she will be pissed that it is on her skin and violating her body.

• Dani... you are spiraling so hard and reacting in a way that really does lead me to believe you want Bill just as much as he wants you. Do not deny yourself that love again. It will eat you up from the inside out.

Notes:

• Zimmerman's breakdowns are very hit-or-miss, and today's was very middle of the road. Editing could have been better to ensure that everything flowed a bit more consistently. And I am happy Paige got to write a better breakdown than they did earlier this week.

• So happy that Curtis is back directing at Beyond the Gates. Their eye is so unique as a director and I hope they continue to make appearances. They are needed in daytime (both in terms of directing and production).

I would say that, too, but thanks to all of the flashbacks to Bill and Dani's past, it's been easily that Bill with Dani is an 'anytime, anyplace' (and they don't care who's around ;) ) couple. Well before the affairs anyway.

I really wish she were producing this show day to day rather than Julie Hanan Carruthers (who she’s obviously close with and helped mentor when they both worked at GH). I’d take her back at GH, too, but Curtis knows and specializes in bringing a sense of heart to her shows, and she works really great with both actors and production staff from things that have said about her throughout the years at both GH and DAYS.

Curtis is the number-one person I would like to take over at General Hospital. So much. She would be a great executive producer, and I have said this for some considerable time. Her words in the interview here (timestamped) tell me all I need to know, and that I know she'd walk into Prospect Studios and whip s**t into place.

Dani decides to wise up about Bill only when it's too late. That was the most compelling Bill/Dani scene so far.

I wouldn’t put Andre with Ashley as they had no chemistry but I’d bring in a new woman without baggage for him. He doesn’t deserve to keep having Dani choose Bill over him whenever she’s in heat.

Ashley is an absolute no. Dani is worse than a teenager, and it's embarrassing.

We knew it was inevitable that Dani and Bill would bonk, but the circumstances here were off. It seemed pretty random.

If it had have happened at the height of a Hayley/Bill plot climax eg Dani saves Bill's life from a Hayley scheme or something of Andre's past is revealed and Dani feels betrayed etc them coming together would have been more motivated but this was just a horny trip in an elevator.

Dani as a character doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. It’s like a bad fan fiction character where the writer really wants you to believe it’s a dynamic character, but it’s weak and pathetic instead.

The problem with the sex happening this way is that it really damages Dani's character, at least in my eyes. I really dislike her these days.

I don't know...I find it a more honest version of Dani than the last couple of months where she's been the one doling out Nicole-like advice to everyone. Dani's supposed to be the mess. When did it stop being in character for messed up people to self-sabotage?

Wednesday's talk between Kat and Ted might have been the first time I've truly had this show give some true old-school soap vibes. No hysterics, no melodramatic shoot'em ups, just an honest moment with two people talking with each other (not in psych speak) about what they feel.
