Perhaps they didn't go all the way. Probably the show pulling the same stunt as attempting to try and make viewers think that Vernon was porking Sharon for several weeks.

Still, Dani is guilty enough as it is.

Pardon me as I continue to catch up this week and offer some belated thoughts, which others may have already had: Is it true either Sarah Joy Brown or Gina T. might've been in line for Heather? Rumor is not necessarily reality but it's an interesting thought. Because they both would've killed it but I also think they would've toppled this show's delicate balance re: some greener actors and stilted scripts. And I suspect BTG's budget could not afford them.

I will say I think Ashley Jones is doing a fine job, and giving good Great Value SJB. Her and JL dancing around each other is thus far more interesting than Joey and Vanessa's umpteenth scene where she whines about running, idk, his human trafficking or meth market lol.

I absolutely loved everything about this week's episodes. After a rewatch I realized my previous comments about Hayley & Kyle were wrong. It totally made sense what happened in the storage closet.

There is no way that this disaster won't turn Fairmont Crest upside down for months to come.

I watch Y&R too, and I noticed the continuity issues but I can overlook it.

The Diane Jenkins continuity issue (being missing in Genoa City but appearing in Fairmont Crest) is addressed in the Y&R episode airing Monday June 15 (it aired June 12 in Canada).

I think the reason Ashley Jones was selected was because the show was trying to subvert stereotypes and assumptions about who the Impaler was. Everyone on the show has assumed the Impaler is male and dark and scary while Ms. Jones comes across as this sweet and unassuming individual. No way anyone would suspect that she would be in a line of crime nor the actual mastermind of the organization.

Sarah Joy Brown and Gina T are too hard and harsh so it would the characters even more dense then they already are if they didn't at least suspect either of them as the Impaler.. or being in the life of crime. With Ms. Jones.. no one would even think to suspect her and thus is the genius of her casting.

She and JL did have a good rapport and I liked that she was able to infuse her lines with a bit of mischievious undertone.

I didn't find AJ particularly sweet as Heather so far. I found her deceptively mischievous and a bit sinister. But I do agree Brown and Tognoni would've projected more overt menace.
