I like EJ checking in on Holly. He was, at one point, her stepfather, so it is nice to see that connection revisited. However, story-wise, it breaks my heart that Lexie is facing a decline into death. This is why EJ should not have used his sister as "patient zero". Imagine losing 15 years of your life just to face losing more. I would hate that kind of fate. And Nikki Crawford did well with the material, as well. And if Paulina wants the drug for Chanel, I cannot lie, but I hope he gives it to her. 🤫

I can appreciate that Chanel had a better appointment with Dr Patel, but part of me wishes we had seen it to see the comparison of both appointments.

Repurposing the Titan office for the DiMera one is hilarious, laughable and sad, especially when DiMera did, at some time, have its own set in recent years. Couldn't take down some of the bad apartments and put the DiMera office back up? I kind of hate what's been done with Theo. Happy he is on the canvas, as he should be, but the writing for the character is cold. And Theo was never a cold character.

I appreciate Kate owning up to her truths; it was refreshing, and I hope that that kind of truth continues.

A much better episode than yesterday's, and it comes down to the characters and stories being told.

Sometimes I wonder if that's an actor choice instead of a writer choice

Who knows, but I don't like it. Tyler Joseph Andrews is a decent actor (huge improvement over Cameron Johnson, but he's still not Theo to me.

I'm confused, because I hallucinated a scene weeks or months ago where we learned that Roman knew about Kate scheming but approved because he didn't want his grandson working for Dimera. It made sense to me, and I remember feeling pleasantly surprised because it would avoid predictable relationship strain.

Lexie re-dying seems pretty quick. I probably needed a Christmas or something first, so I don't have to rely on memory to care. The relationships of today are too abstract for my cold, cold heart.

At first, he thought Kate had done it, but after Kate swore that she didn't, he believed her.

The potential couples were on full display today. Some were good, some were just... ehhh.

I did like the dorkiness of Chad, Belle and the kids. They were sweet together. And there did seem to be more chemistry between the two of them then there was in the last episode that they had scenes together.

The chemistry was a lot stronger with Shawn and Jada though. Not much happened between the two of them today but I was still really invested in their scenes. And I wonder if the two of them seeing Chad and Belle on the Cubs game kiss cam is going to end up meaning something sooner or later.

Cat and EJ were definitely one of those "ehhhs" 😂😂

And it was nice to see Stephanie finally have scenes with her parents. She needs the two of them more than anyone. And while I liked the way that they comforted her, I can also see it if some people think that they were coddling her a little too much. I mean, she is an adult. But at the same time I hope we continue to see Steve and Kayla being there for her, especially since it looks like Joy is gonna be a problem. Joy did have some good points though lol she pulled no punches with Alex today. And even though I still think that not having Joy actually take a bullet was a mistake, I'm interested in seeing this all play out.

Alex came off like a bit of a dope though, but it makes sense based on the storyline 😂

Steve and Kayla do coddle Stephanie, but she is a mess right now so I suppose I understand.

What happened to all Stephanie's deadbolts on the door? Didn't she have about 800 installed at some point?

I am team Joy with this in general. She has every right to keep Stephanie away. Stephanie is clearly unstable at the moment. Joy has valid points, but looks like a villain. Obviously the more mature thing would have been to tell Alex let's start off with you visiting Kelsey and reevaluate Stephanie's involvement in time.

Did the show de-age Thomas? The new actor seems so much younger than Cary Christopher, but Christopher was very mature and well spoken for his age.

Love seeing Chad with his kiddos. It feels like Conner Floyd has built a real connection with both Alexander Elijah Bond (Thomas) and Autumn Gendron (Charlotte), and it shows. And I like the potential in Belle and Chad; I could not have imagined this with Billy Flynn in the role of Chad, but with Floyd? He has palpable chemistry with Martha Madison's Belle.

I am so over this Stephanie storyline. It is not hitting, and it is showing how weak Abigail Klein is as an actor. She cannot handle emotional storylines like this. And Alex immediately going to Joy was dumb. He does not care about his wife. And not Stephanie slightly overdosing on her sleeping medication. I understand why Joy feels the way she does, but because it is Joy, I am annoyed by it. At this point, pair Alex and Joy and let them leave Salem with their baby. And then reset Stephanie with a returned Jeremy.

Dan Feuerriegel and AnnaLynne McCord have actor chemistry, but they do not have character chemistry, if that makes sense? I do not buy EJ and Cat as a couple. I would be more inclined to believe Cat and Rafe as a potential pairing. This feels like a fast-move, slow-burn, if that makes sense. But I am not buying it. At all.

Jada and Shawn-Douglas are another couple I do not see clicking. At all. It's definitely a more palpable pairing than Jada and Theo, but I just do not see them working out. Especially when Shawn-Douglas sees Chad and Belle's kiss on television, and it makes him immediately kiss whom he's with. Yeah. That felt... so genuine.

As @AbcNbc247 said, today's theme was "potential couples". However, only one works for me. The rest I can do without.

Apparently cliffhangers, specifically Friday cliffhangers are a thing of the past.

It's funny -- I feel the opposite. I always thought there was something that sparked between Martha Madison and Billy Flynn, going back to that pseudo-pairing in early 2016. MM and Conner Floyd feel like coworkers or cousins. I don't think the scenes with the kids helped much. The new Thomas is, uh, not Cary Christopher. I mean, he's fine for a kid actor, but it's giving cereal commercial with the way he over-enunciates. It all just felt very TGIF sitcom to me.

Nothing is as bad as the child actors on Bold. In comparison, Alexander Elijah Bond is a breath of fresh air. At the same time, I've never believed Days of Our Lives to be a fount of acting talent that stands out as excellent to me. 🤷🏻 I still think it's earlier in their potential pairing to tell, but I did sense the sparks between Floyd and Madison in ways I did not with Flynn, although Flynn is a very charismatic actor and his Chad was very established. We've really not yet really dug into Floyd's take on the role.
