That's because Karla needs a strong director to reign her in since she loves to chew scenery. Her acting style would work better on stage than on television.

I wonder if there is some backstory on why Caroline seems to defend Hayley so much. Maybe Hayley saved Caroline's butt once upon a time that prevented her from getting fired.

I'd gladly trade out Chelsea and Madison if that means Caroline gets more airtime/focus.

I thought the same thing. I like Karla, but on these random days she'll act this way and it's cringe to me.

What are you all talking about? Karla was playing Dani today like the over-the-top DIVA she is and I loved every minute of it. But I live for Dani/Nicole sister scenes. And this was no different. It was very 'I know my sister is the reserved one so I'm going to be extra jokey to get her to open up.' Some siblings...and close friends...are like that.

She even upstaged Febreeze (and Karla made that product placement seem effortless).

I think except for one, I have loved all of her breakdowns so far. And that one didn't bother me too much. And it seems every scriptwriter that has one of her breakdowns has only enriched them. And that just tells me there is already a flow to her outlines.

Speaking of...how we feeling about the new writers so far?

-- Slater is fine, I guess. I'm still a blockhead on breakdowns. None of them seem bad to me and I didn't know what's good.

-- Danielle Paige's dialogue is still a problem, I think, not because she's bad at it but because her characters speak in a different voice than the characters of the other scriptwriters.

Paige did it again today. She worked in cultural references, pop culture, slang, etc. The other writers do not go to the lengths she does, and it's obvious.

I think the other writers need to do the same or she needs to pull back.

Now is it Paige that loves to do intimate one on one family scenes or is that Tate? Because I have liked some of those scenes, but I think I am getting my scriptwriters mixed up.

Really? re: Paige and references. Because Jazmin was the main scriptwriter of that and he's one of the best of the first year scriptwriters. He of the Teen Slang. And I still like him, but his scripts still stick out for that reason than most of the others.
