This week has been the first time in a long time I actually liked Kat. I think they've done better at having her point of view explained in regards to Eva. I hope she continues to get better writing.

I like Bill upping the ante with Tomas about Kat and Kat putting on the brakes. If they don't get married, he's out at the law firm? Maybe this will be the exit of Tomas? I can hope, but it's a nice conflict.

After being all lovey with Jacob at Winterfest, Naomi is now back to struggling with Jacob? She's being written hot and cold and it's not doing her any favors.

Chelsea and Madison made up quick! I like them together, but since the Holiday was made out to be such a disaster I would have thought the reconciliation might be a bit longer.

Leslie/Marcel is interesting. Who's going to be better at playing the other?

Overall I think the past two weeks for the show have moved them in a much more positive direction after sputtering for a bit. Can't wait to see how the next couple of weeks go.

-- So Ashley's way of moving on from Derek is to bring up Cheryl who is interested in him? God, she is insufferable.

-- Kat clocked Eva again and I am down with it. If Eva changes -- and stops burying the bodies from her mother's messes -- maybe I'll revisit. Until then, I'm #TeamKat.

-- When Kat walked in Orphey Gene's, I thought, "What is that hat?" Within 5 seconds, I knew she was perfectly dressed as Essential Kat.

-- I don't have an answer for it, but that coffee corner set does not work. A conversation between Eva and Laura was interesting, but that set takes me out of the story every time.

-- Nothing about Tomas says "I'm smart enough to be partner in a prestigious law firm."

Thats not what Bill was saying. He doesnt want Tomas to hurt Kat and doesnt want him to be messy with this relationship bc he saw the vibes with Eva and probably heard some chatter about them. Another scandal to his firm, especially involving a Dupree is not a good look. If Tomas and Kat broke amicably tomorrow, its not like he'd be fired. If Tomas got sloppy, hurt Bill's niece and shamed the firm in the process, then that would be a different story

I agree. I didn't want to say anything because I've been so critical of the sets and a coffee shop was needed but the design is just off. I think the issue is the set designer/decorator. They have far too many misses.

Can't argue with that. Why would Ashley and Naomi leave Uptown to go to that godforsaken coffee spot that looks like it's in the corner of an almost-abandoned mall?

-- Listening to Tomas and Eva talk about the book series they're reading was painful.

-- Madison and Chelsea kissing at the hospital is really inappropriate. Do these writers think that's cute? It's not.

-- Also, I wish we got to see the conversations that moved Madison and Chelsea to make up. Instead, it was skip the show and move on to the tell.

-- Kind of weird that Bill and Tomas sat at that country club table for the entire episode.

I actually think Orphey Gene's should have been a cute and trendy coffee house instead of a sit down restaurant. People will hang out at a coffee shop over a restaurant especially during work days.

Laura is getting more story and focus than Chelsea. I would cut my losses with Chelsea and just focus on developing Laura's character.

Derek/Ashley trying the friend thing too quickly.

I do like SPS and Marcel together.. and it's a nice break from her mooning over her Teddy Bear.

I see the show is still playing the Tomas/Eva connection... but I hope nothing further is done with them until both do some growing up.

If this show insists on keeping Tomas around, they really have to recast him at some point. He's just plain awful.

Marcel and Leslie has me anticipating the next beat of this story. Who's gonna get the other one first ?

I saw an interview with Jen Jacob on Instagram and she mentioned how the story is developed and it seems like this mess they have going was planned from the beginning for Ashley/Derek. It amazes me that even with the reaction to those characters they still haven't pivoted. I've given up hope on recasts but at least change it up. The story just doesn't work.

Now with Tomas, I do think the story is fine but the actor is just dreadful.

Cut 'em loose. It's past time and the show feels like it is barely hanging on to the first two in particular.

I agree. And I hope soon they start giving written off character energy... Especially that acting disgrace that should not be given dialogue.
