Not Hayley pulling a card from 90s Sami's playbook and trying to get Andre to her side a la Lucas to break up Austin/Carrie...I mean Dani and Bill.

AND him falling for it.

-- Chelsea is a complete moron. I hope Madison dumps her little girl ass.

-- Samantha knows rich people and doctors all over the place, and her dad is in Congress, so she goes to Eva for money and help. EVA.

-- Sorry, that makes no sense. I hate stupid writing.

-- Samantha is now on her 4th personality change.

-- The Peaches story might be better if they cast an age-appropriate actress. I can't feel anything for this woman because the optics are so off.

-- A 5-minute talk from Nicole and Peaches changes her mind about the clinical trial? Uh...ok.

-- Nicole told Eva that part of the reason she spoke to Peaches was for Eva. Can these Duprees stop kissing up to people who hurt them?

I think this is Michael Montgomery's 2nd episode as breakdown writer.. he tends to work with Susan Dansby as a continuity producer.

However, his talents seem to lie in breakdown writing and with the 1st season coming to a close in a few weeks, I think we're building to something and I also agree with you that with Guza long gone.. Vanessa/Joey have suffered

Yeah, now that I thought about it after a few days...my bad!!! This is his second one I believe.

I do feel after the first two episodes of this week, that momentum appears to be back and building. I just wish...and I know that I am beating a dead horse...that they would focus on either an A story or a solid B plot or even just an event of the week with side stories. Right now, it just feels too 'all side stories' at the moment when the best weeks so far have been either focusing on an A story of the week, solid B plot (Doug/Vanessa/Joey) or an event (think Chels's kidnapping)...any of them surrounded by interesting side stories and/or character development. I am still enjoying and it seems like it has its rewatch value back with me (I can't wait to rewatch Monday for example), but I just need some...more?...I guess.

Yeah, Vanessa and Joey seem like they are just cameoing to me IMO rather than the solid B story they (and Doug) turned into. They took a break once the Donell part of the story ended...and just never truly recovered.

I just can't with Ted and Shanice.

That said Shanice and the CANDYMAN shoutout (with Tony Todd's bday today RIP) had me holler.
