Not a fan of today's episode. There were too many monents that felt forced or off. June telling Jacob he would be a good dad out of the blue for example. I get they are pushing Jacob vs Naomi on the idea of wanting kids, but couldn't June have walked in on a moment when Jacob gives Samantha some advice and this prompts her "good dad" comment.

Most hospitals do next day if not same day results on hCG tests. Why was Ashley acting like this was going to take week(s)?

Hayley was also so extra with that cupcake. Like girl, are you trying to draw attention to yourself as you plan to poison the man.

Self sabotage is a girl's biggest enemy. 😂

Hayley was working from a place of emotion... emotion makes one stupid.  Even her cuz was saying that she shouldn't deviate from the plan.

Hayley was really pissed off that Bill was kissing Dani and that is driving her to be sloppy with speeding up her plan. Since she seemingly scammed other men with no competition from any other women it was a blow to her ego for her not to have all of Bill's attention and devotion.

I'm thinking this is what eventually gives Hayley away. Maybe she actually poisons Bill at some point, but it doesn't work and Naomi calls back to this moment and how Hayley's baking was not it's usual standard and how strange she was acting.

Absolutely. She thought she had won when she got him to leave Dani. Little did she know he’d stop being antagonistic towards Dani and start kissing her every week.

It really does give me a chuckle with how ridiculous it is so now I never want her to change it 😂

Exactly. I've decided I'm perfectly fine with Diva Pamela who changes her accent every week, dresses like she's 20, and wears Elvira wigs.

I hated all of it until I didn't. Now I love it! 🤩 💗🤩

It was so off putting that it became pure camp to me 😂 and it’s like you know what? Dani’s crazy ass would be besties with an accent changing weirdo 😂

P.S. Wow, looking around social media this morning... Posts about Hayley, pictures... memes... have thousands... I mean thousands.... of likes right now. People are on fire about it. She is The moment. The show needs to appreciate how viral this character is and use that advantage to the Max. This could be a huge ratings increase in the long-run if done correctly (slowly, keeping us in suspense, keeping Hayley nuanced) or... If they do it sloppily like they did Leslie... it could backfire. Don't let us down, MVJ, we believe in you.

Personally, I find this shift in character a bit strange. While the idea of Hayley having used Bill all along and being this vixen that manipulates men and then drains their bank accounts is interesting, it doesn't feel natural. Sure Hayley's pouting about not being accepted at the CC could have been part of her game, but it didn't feel that way.

Also, am I confused or did they switch up the whole timeline on when Hayley came into the picture?

I don't think Hayley's twist is so unearned or unnatural. This kind of dangerous con artist is a common character in soaps.

I do think she is now going to be a finite villain, or maybe pop in and out from time to time when this story runs its course. She's made it clear she is prepared to murder Bill Hamilton for his money. That has a shelf life on any soap opera and eventually she's going to go. Leslie is more likely the long-term in-house antagonist, not Hayley (and despite freakouts from social media viewers unused to soap opera, Leslie remains a popular villain for the show).

I'm fine with a short-term antagonist. It's a great twist and an exciting story, but I'm not looking for her to be redeemed or made sympathetic. Not every villain needs to hang around forever. Look at Janice Frame, who everyone has already cited.

I find the twist believable for two reasons - First... when you think about it... this is not much different to what Dani was accusing her of being in the first place. A dangerous opportunist. This is that same opportunism, but this time on steroids with a dash of criminality. Second - it was obvious for a long time that something was missing in the picture of this character. Her whole initial portrait of a lost orphan was obviously a trap. There was mystery there that left the door open for this kind of twist. That I give them huge thumbs up for. Brava MVJ.

That brings me to the timeline... IMO they didn't switch anything up. I've never gotten the impression Dani was a mother figure or that Hayley was there for a decade. All I knew was that... she was Naomi's best friend who befriended the entire family... Dani encouraged her to work for Bill... And she ended up fu-king him.

Dani then felt exposed and humiliated because this time his mistress was not an unknown persona, but someone she herself took as a family friend. Someone who dined on her table.

That's just my impression. Everyone is entitled to theirs.

Your post has similar ideas to what I said in a long post
several pages back (Link to post) -- but you said it much more clearly and succinctly!   Thank you for that.    I wish I could write that clearly.

I just saw it and I think you wrote it just perfectly. I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it like that. But... again... I'm tolerant to all types of interpretations. People speculating makes soaps even more fun. ❤️
