• Dani, I appreciate you giving Andre the "OUT", but you need to be honest about wanting to take the out, too, to go back to Bill.
• I appreciate Nicole continuing to be a friend to Vanessa and holding the honesty mirror up to her.
• Ugh... Ashley and Derek make me want to vomit. They do not belong together, and since when are Ashley and Shanice so buddy-buddy that she becomes a bridesmaid? That is awkward as frick!
• Donnell, be careful; Joey got rid of your father... he could very well get rid of you, too!
• Dana, you are a bit snarky and undermining to June, but look at that... it looks like she is able to hold her own against the unstable Dana Thomas. You go, June! And look at you getting better at your job! That is amazing to see.
• Well, look who showed us: Alix and Ashley Andrea. What a coincidence and a beautiful reminder.
• I am going to need Dana to sit her backside down. You are not his wife. You are no one but a mistake to him. June is not one to back down; Dana might have met her actual match.
• I like seeing Ted making connections with his niece (Chelsea) and his granddaughter (Samantha); it is nice seeing those be explored more and more. But whoops... Ted just found out that June is the twins' mother.
• A "nursetographer"? Okay. Not going to lie. I think that is super cute!
• Woo-wee... Donnell is making it known: Joey needs to back off; he has got it covered.
• Vanessa, sweetie, you have got to calm down. Nicole did not call you a bad mother. She merely just questioned some of the decisions you have made regarding Joey Armstrong, who is a notoriously sketchy presence within the community.
• NICOLE CAME FOR DANA'S NECK! Talking about Dana spreading her legs. Whew... and that does not hit right with Dana. But Nicole has held her own before and is holding it now.
• Naomi is spitting out her truth and Dani is taking it like an absolute champ right now.
• Not Joey manning up and actually trying to end things with Vanessa, who is coming on to him like a pussycat in heat! Whew... did not expect that.
• Oops... Dana made a threat and I know Nicole will not take it lying down.
• I am proud of Dani for growing and validating her children. It is beautiful to see.

Notes:

• Coming back around to the beginnings of this soap is fun; the re-introduction of Alix and Ashley Andrea was a nice touch. A very nice, surprising touch.

But I had planned to return to BTG eventually.

But then, meanwhile, my own life (real life) has become very very busy the past month, with no end in sight.  All I've had time for is watching clips of Monica's death and funeral on GH.  I couldn't do that *and* BTG right now, as I'm just too busy.  (busy in a good way).

I am glad to have devoted the past year and a half to regularly posting about it (on the behind-the-scenes thread before it started airing; and then posting daily once it began airing).  I have supported BTG as best I can.   And I take advantage of the sales at my local grocery store for Tide!

I was following BTG recaps and spoilers for a while but now I can't even keep up with that. However, I am enjoying reading this thread daily and still read all the posts, even if I don't exactly know anymore what scenes have just aired.

I don't know when/if I can come back to BTG regularly.  But I do still appreciate it!  and really appreciate everyone's posts!

I've stepped out unintentionally too. Missed the past week and now I'm going into second week without watching. Don't know when I'll have the energy to tune back (since so much material is waiting to be binged)... but I do check up the topic from time to time and chuckle and smile when I read some of the comments. Especially @ranger1rg, @Cheap21 and @Taoboi. Maybe after a good little break, I'll miss the show and come back with a new passion for it.

I feel it's been shifting for November Sweeps so hopefully you will be back for hopefully a month as great as May.

That was good

Today's episode was very engaging and character-driven (and I love character-driven stuff on any soap).  It's nice to see the writers step away from the non-stop major plots, slow things the-heck-down, and give the audience a few episodes to take a breath and enjoy interactions between the characters.  Great to see BTG maturing in this direction.

I am rooting for Dani and Andre waaaay too much. For every moment where they do something that I want to shake them for...they have this level of intimacy and straight talk that I've liked since they met again during Chelesa's diva hair toss photoshoot.

 

Oops. Here comes Derek and Ashley. 

You better come through, Sparks!! I didn't see it with Ted and June before. But I see it now! Heeey.

I'm loving these Dani/Naomi scenes. I guess for me, it's the fact that we get more Dani/Chels scenes since the start of the show than Dani/Naomi so good to see them.

 

Honestly...it's nice to see elevator baby outside of a RC breakdown. 

 

Ooooh Derek and his insecurity. smh. That said...can we FREE Shanice? I know the Have-Nots need a third for Gossip brunch. Seriously!

 

As much as I'm enjoying this Nicole/Vanessa scenes, it is reminding me that I wish Nicole had more of her own storyline going on. 

 

Now, Joey, you ain't slick!
