Karla and Daphne were great today.  Real sibling chemistry those two have.

He's very good and looks as if he could really be Vanessa and Doug's son.

One soap staple that has always been missing for me with this show is the star-crossed lovers. We still don't have that couple to root for to get together. Tomas and Kat??? Not really. Who are the two people being kept apart? That's what we need in addition to the other stories.

I've unintentionally checked out so far this week. Will probably try to binge watch the entire week... when Saturday comes.

I think it's Martin & Smitty (of all people).  They've had trials & tribulations from Day One (well, I believe it started on Day Two, to be exact) and haven't really "connected" the entire 7 months the show has been on the air, despite the fact that they're in love with each other.  It's an unusual situation for a soap, because (a) they're a same-sex couple, and (b) their problems involve honesty and trust issues, rather than the usual soap trope of a "villain" keeping them apart.

They're trying to do it with Andre and Ashley but that's failing. It could have been Kat and Tomas, but dead eyes is so drab.

I like Madison and Chelsea so maybe they will be in for the long run.

Hard disagree.   Martin is emotional abusive and controlling... not my idea of a worthy candidate for star crossed lvoers.

I don't think Martin has been in that zone since the secret came out tbh.

Martin was controlling when he didn't want Smitty working, but I don't think he was ever really emotionally abusive. Smitty on the other hand was a little emotionally abusive with his "I'll sleep with you but not forgive you" stunt.

How has he emotionally abused Smitty? IA with those that say controlling but the emotionally abusive one is Smitty

-- Yeah, "emotionally abusive and controlling" is not how I'd describe Martin. He's had bad moments, but overall, he's neither of those -- while Smitty has his own negative attributes.

-- While it's good to hear soap couples talk about therapy, do Martin and Smitty really need it? It's not as if they disagree on their problems and obstacles, and this conversation today was evidence they can work things out on their own.

-- Why are all these conversations at the police department around Jacob's desk? Ridiculous.

-- Jacob's questions for Drake were worthless, followed by him telling Drake not to leave town. Huh? For what? Why would this guy need to listen to orders like that?

-- No, Donnell, Drake did not "steal" your father's watch.

-- Speaking of ridiculous, watching Vanessa and Donnell view that 20-second clip from the Golden Corral Casino over and over was hilarious.

-- Alex Cheeks is doing a MUCH better job at conveying grief than Lauren Bugoli, whose main move is to have her voice break. I know we all like her, but she's been AWFUL in these mourning scenes. I don't believe Vanessa is in any kind of emotional pain. 

-- If I'm going to criticize other actors on this show (as I have with those playing Tomas, Derek, and Ashley), I'm not letting LB off the hook.

-- But it is a Vanessa move to go to Uptown with her Mob Boss boyfriend on the day her husband was buried. Typical trash. Once a slut, always a slut.

-- I hope Donnell reads her for filth tomorrow after accusing her of screwing Joey.

-- Even better? Let's write it that Doug isn't dead and that he comes back to haunt and torture his cheating whore of a wife and her pathetic gangster boyfriend.

-- Good acting? Those Dani/Nicole scenes. DD and KM make it all look easy.

Two things can be true: Vanessa is a ho and I think LB is killing it.

I really enjoyed the scenes with Martin & Smitty and Dani & Nicole today. I'm glad they are trying to reconcile and keep their family together. 

Dani is just a hoot and Nicole needs to loosen up. I get she's devastated by her failed marriage but I'm glad she realized Carlton is so NOT the one.
