No.  Jason (and Robin) were both aware Michael was AJ's.  Jason/Carly let everyone else think Jason was the father.  Robin ended up telling AJ later on and that ended Jason/Robin.  

I vastly prefer SK's AJ.  BW is capable, but he was miscast, IMO.

BW's AJ gets increasingly bad writing under Guza where he's always being played a fool or looking like a loser.  Even when SK returned and Ron openly made fat jokes about AJ, SK still had some confidence and swagger.  Although I wouldn't blame SK for never returning.

My memory of this--and it was a LONG time ago, please keep that in mind--is that Monica's change in attitude regarding Jason was very abrupt. She made some comments in a sarcastic tone to Alan about the things Jason would need. (Was she talking about Christmas presents? Possibly, or just regular things a kid needs). But from that moment on she was loving and  accepting of him as part of the family.

Yeah, they'd have AJ himself and other characters comment about AJ's build during SK's 2nd return.  It was "joking" but it was mean spirited.

Yep, I remember it the same way -- it was fat shaming, period. Imagine how that would play today.

It played awful back then.  It felt oddly personal for Ron to attack SK like that.  I have no idea why Ron hated AJ/SK since he was doing good work.  I full enjoyed his return.

There was also a lot of backlash from fans, which I don't think "Cartini" had expected. He was then killed (again) off not that long after.

So we are cutting Laura scenes now? Let me side-eye.

It's a shame because from what I saw from the clips they could have gone on much longer.

So mean-spirited. And not the first time that Ron has done it on his shows. If it's not jokes, it's having the person in question running around with nothing on as another form of body shaming.

If I remember correctly...in most cases...it was because SK made a comment about his writing.

Very much so. There was so much meat to SK's AJ return. From his romantic options to the real conflict of Michael wanting to get to know his biological dad to Q shenanigans, AJ's return had turned out sooooo good.

 

And lest I forget...Monica slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth was such a moment back then. Cuz NO ONE had slapped Carly in a good minute.
