Im kinda hoping they keep Allison around. She could one of those crazies that pop in out causing trouble. Plus the actress has made me a fan on and off the show

I, on the other hand, am fine with never seeing Allison again. Unless, it's like one last surprise attack and she's gone thereafter.

I loved Eva the first few months because she wouldn't put up with Leslie's bull, at all. Eva schemed to stop Leslie.

But the last Thursday of June, just before the week-long reruns, the writing for Eva changed with the scene of Eva and Leslie at Orphey Gene's reminiscing about the past, and Eva began to be loving towards Leslie.
It felt (to me) like a big change for the writing for the character of Eva.  I've been meaning to mention how much that has bothered me.

I do *NOT* want to see Eva defending Leslie *at all*.

I watched today just to see Chelsea free herself, as I thought she would!

But WTF with the writing for Leslie today? She cried, she felt used, Eva actually had dialogue saying Leslie was "vulnerable".  Yeah NO NO NO.
Leslie is a sociopath and no change in the writing will change that for me.  The writers inputting dialogue to make us *see* Leslie's "vulnerable side" ? ? ? ? No no no no no.  No way. Not for me!

I was team Ted on this.

I actually felt the same way about the writing for Leslie when she locked Eva out the house and discarded her as if she were nothing. It felt so cruel and ugly. Then, they played it off as Leslie doing it because she wanted to ensure that Ted gave her what she was owed.

However, the writing for Leslie does give a bit of whiplash, are we supposed to believe she is a flawed, wounded person who is acting on all this hurt or is she just cray. Doesn't help that we first learn of her driving Laura off the road tho.

Leslie might not be a sophisticated businesswoman but surely she didn't think someone in the middle of a high net worth divorce could just give a house away? And even if that meant the deal for the house across the street from Anita and Vernon fell through, won't she just try again? The ensuing scenes with Leslie and Eva were good but this was such a sloppy plot device.

Yes, it was all a bit ridiculous. Someone giving away their assets in the middle of a divorce seems illogical to most people. However, it did give us some good Ted energy today. I was like where has this Ted been?

-- I think the kidnapping should have run for at least another day or two. She was held hostage for ONE DAY and they're all acting like it was 3 months.

-- Hayley's desperation is embarrassing.

-- Ted showed FIRE today and I loved it.

-- Can't Leslie just put in another bid for the house across the street from the Duprees? I don't think what Ted did should keep her out of The Gates.

-- Leslie's tears with her "I...am...somebody" left me rolling my eyes. She lets the  Duprees -- people she despises -- decide who she is as a person and if she's somebody?

-- Eva can miss me with her anger towards Ted. She showed more hostility towards him than she's ever shown towards her evil mother who's literally tried to physically hurt people and who's tried to completely wreck others' lives.

-- I can't root for Eva when she acts like this.

Unpopular opinion (which I seem to have nowadays LOL), but the Chelsea kidnapping story just ended with a whimper.  I didn't care about the story because there was little to no build up to Chelsea being held hostage... in fact, Allison seemed rational and then one day became obsessed with her after the insta coupling of Madison/Chelsea.

Speaking of which, the show does do foreshadowing well so Chelsea's comment to Naomi about being an attorney and having a suitable career could perhaps be foreshadowing Chelsea stepping back from the public eye.  She's never really found her own identity.. always allowing the family to mold/dictate her identity/voice.. though we have seen flashes of Chelsea figuring out who she is with firing Dani as her momager, stepping back from modeling, and determining her sexuality.

On the other hand, the Silk Press Sheila scenes were the highlight to me.. and I'm glad MVJ reigned her in some.  I truly think MVJ's time at Santa Barbara has come into play with this show since the Duprees are like the Capwells... and SPS is like Gina Demott (both were thorns in the sides of the true antagonists... the wealthy family).

But the question becomes...did the kidnapping end in a whimper due to the break? Cuz I felt momentum was definitely lost.

Now not all of you saying SilkPress is showing layers as if it's the first time she has. Because that is simply not the case. Though I can understand...the week before the break...Silk Press Sheila was back to being a clown. Then I understood why...comic relief in a tense situation...but ugh. The writers need to get a better balance on her though her tears (for me) fell on deaf ears. Double for Eva not learning anything over the last few months.

It will be interesting to see if Eva asking Ted to stop Leslie from buying that house. Eva did say that she had never seen her like that so I can understand her feeling sympathy. Plus, I think Ted's little stunt will make Leslie even worse. He had no business even implying that he had any interest in her.

Hayley was asking for too much. I was surprised when she tried to follow Bill and Dani to see Chelsea.

Vanessa talking about the trees kills me. This Vanessa I love. Her with Joey, not so much.

I kinda hope Eva leans into the bad girl vibe. The Duprees are all too goody two shoes (except maybe Dani).

Ted bought Nicole a new bottle of Febreeze! She taking him back!

I swear these people are going to become huffing addicts...but that probably wouldn't be great brand promotion. lol

  • Aw, look at Bill, Dani, and Naomi... they just fit together as a family. Guess the child bride's days are numbered.
  • I am not surprised Nicole did not mention Ted's little trick where Dana is concerned.
  • The PTSD is strong with Chelsea; she is not doing as well as she is likely putting on, and I cannot blame her.
  • Does Dana really think she can stereotype and force Vanessa to do her bidding? You have got another thing coming!
  • Dana is stooping to new lows by playing the race card where Vanessa is concerned. Sweetie, look at her husband, her children, and those she is close to... it would not fly.
  • Oh, sweetie, Allison... you are in no way Dani Dupree with these mug shot photographs... and the obsessive mentioning of Chelsea's social media? This is why social media is a modern disease that should be put to rest. Very topical.
  • Naomi notices the connections happening between Bill and Dani, and I love that she has called Bill out on it.
  • Good on you, Vanessa, for calling Dana's bluff and standing up for yourself and even the Duprees.
  • Oh, Eva is working over Tomas, and I kind of like it... leaning forward and using her ample assets to get what she wants.
  • Allison is cuckoo for Coco Puffs crazy! Lock her ass up and throw the key away.

Notes:

  • Ms Febreze is back on the scenes. Nice to see her again.
  • Well, it is about time we got Keith D. Robinson (Ted); it's a suit that fits! And even Alex Alegria's (Tomas) suits are beginning to loosen up a bit.
  • Brianna Roberts (Allison) continues to play the crazy psychopath extremely well.
