I'm sure to be alone in this, but getting rid of Ted altogether will be a little bit of a copout. I believe the writers should put some effort into making him more likable. Ted should be a big deal on this show. He needs some serious characterization....

That's where I am with Ted. I think he's a major character, and I do not agree the show always penciled him in as someone who'd be there a year or less.

Get rid of the father of THREE major characters. Just no. The problem has always been the writing for Ted. Look at today with his ridiculous idea to take Eva to the ChelseaKat launch.  I mean, that is just clueless. They have the guy caring ONLY about Eva.

I can't stand Leslie.  She's not fun for me at all.

I love TMG in the role, but Leslie IS veering into cartoon too often for my taste. Too many scenes end with her dancing around and spouting funny lines to shade someone and get us laughing.

The nuance is not there at this point, and that means we get Eva deciding over and over that she has to ignore/forgive the things her mother does.

We also need nuance if we're ever to believe Ted would show ANY interest in her. As she is now? No way is that believable.

Seriously, how on earth did Leslie get a membership in the club?  Did she just walk in there, plop down some cash, and someone signed her up, like the ticket window at the movie theater?  The country club I belong to has an "admissions committee", and they can accept or reject anyone's application.

I have a major problem with that. It all goes to the pacing, which is just way too fast, and yes, tearing through story. In 72 hours, Leslie found out who her mother was, got her trust fund first check, bought a mansion across the street from the Duprees, and joined the country club.

Seriously???

Mmmm...this whole Leslie trust fund thing. She has enough to buy a house opposite the Duprees?

Just another thing we're not supposed to question, such as how many millions are in this trust fund, how often the checks arrive, how much Anita has poured into it, etc.

My thought exactly when I saw Ted invite Eva to Kat and Chelsea's launch. How thoughtless to not even consider Kat's feelings knowing how tense Eva and Kat's relationship has been. It's not the time to force some kumbaya moment, Teddy.

Story is moving wayyyy too fast. I feel like we have all these major stories in motion or limbo and now we've been thrown a curveball with Chelsea being abducted. If we look at a weekly snapshot, I've seen primetime shows move slower at this point.

I feel like Ted is much more considerate of Eva's feelings than he is of Kat's. He clearly is overcompensating for a lot of lost years.

Chelsea did not take Allison's crazy ramblings seriously.

Leslie's need for revenge would have worked more effectively had Ted known her before Nicole, dumped her for Nicole and then circled back to have an affair. Leslie's indignation doesn't have enough legitimacy but off course delusional is a classic soap staple.

Footage of Eva and Leslie taking on Bill

The Haves and the Have Nots was a mess much of the time, but that was one of it's best moments.

You're not alone. Ted can definitely be saved and Keith can more than handle the task.  I always love his scenes with Andre and really enjoyed him and Bill waxing poetics today.

Thank you!🫶🏿 Same. I came around to enjoying scenes with Andre, too.

Yeah, her logic that they took my mother, my man, and almost my daughter was a little off, but she is a cuckoo.

I couldn't agree more. It's very frustrating. I get him trying to overcompensate with Eva, but at least run this by with Kat first. Kat has the right not to want them at her launch.

I mean she's not entirely wrong from her perspective. She blames Anta o hr mother's suicide and even Anita herself carried that guilt for decades. Ted paid her of to aborrt their daughter and Bill actually thratened her life an ran her out of time. Up until a year ago Bill was a Dupree by marriage and still very much in their pocket. She lumps them all the same. The only part she is delusional abo was saying they took her man away....that man was never hers to take

Lol. See what I mean? Veronica was taunting that white cop who had a thing for her son Jeffrey. I can envision Leslie taunting Ted's weak a$$ exactly like this.

And not entirely right either, cause imo she doesn't know what caused Barbara's suicide, she could've been dealing with something else. Leslie is just assuming, and without any facts. I feel like she was only right about Eva.

Leslie could have told Eva she's applying for a Country Club membership and they have given her a complimentary I day pass.

And Vanessa could have informed the Duprees that Leslie is looking for a property in Fairmont Crest, not buying the house across the street.

2 easy work arounds of those issues.

And anyway, Leslie will not be purchasing the mansion across from Vernita. Unless there is budget for another set.

They had a maitre d' welcoming Leslie at the CC but won't give the Duprees a housekeeper.

I don't quite see Silk Press Sheila as a Veronica, at least yet.   I still say SPS gives me Gina Demott.... I mean this classic scene/fantasy scene of Gina winning on the Wheel of Fortune is so something I could see SPS fantasizing about.

Leslie is nothing like Veronica and I hope they never ever think about going anywhere near there. (insert shuddering emoji here).

Now that I'm sitting here thinking about it. Could Allison actually be a red herring and it's someone else that has Chels? After all, we all know that Allison was giving stalker, but the show went out of their way to NOT show Allison. Even in previews.

I agree with you. It was why when I was watching yesterday that I said they found SilkPress's throughline moving forward in that scene. For too long she's been a cartoon, now she has even more of a reason to come across as a (flawed) human with that declaration to Eva. TMG played the hades out of that, giving her character the nuances over the writing that I needed.

Well.  I liked how pretty Kat looked holding the flowers.  But that's the only thing I liked today.

have not enjoyed BTG at all this week.   I can't stand Leslie.  She's not fun for me at all.   This has been the worst week of the show for me.

The point of soaps is entertainment.  I'm not having fun with this anymore.  I forced myself to watch every episode this week and hated it all.  BTG is a show I have truly loved and supported all this time.   But I'm not going to invest my energy into something that makes me angry and annoyed.  I'm out.

Awww sorry to hear that. I've enjoyed your comments, but I understand. Especially about SilkPress as of late. Hopefully, you will be bad when she finally gets her comeuppances.
