I think my empathy gene must be on overdrive because I thought the scenes with June, Tyrell and Samantha were very touching.

They got me too. Im so rooting for June to turn it around. I like the suggestion that Cheap had about her being a model

That could be interesting, Dani taking her on.

I think June is going to better herself, which ironically, will be what causes further complications for the family. June is going to eventually win back the hearts of her children. Martin will become accepting of it while poor Smitty will be left seething about the whole thing. Smitty clearly doesn't appreciate June's presence. The hostile look he had on his face last week towards June said it all.

My mom, who has only seen like 5 episodes, cried over June's scenes with the kids. She said that Jasmine Burke is a fantastic actress that really made her feel something.

Naomi made a mess by opening up the adoption. If she was going to do it she should have involved Nicole since she is a psychiatrist. All that aside, June being determined to get herself together seems indicative that there might end up being a rift between the children and Martin/Smitty that sends them in June's direction.

Leslie has her own misdeeds, but she was right in the way that she called out Anita. Anita can be nasty at times and Barbara's daughter now being a thorn in her side is perfect karma.

It is such a wonderful twist.

A) the normal thing to do is to never open a closed adoption.

B ) apparently you can open it if both sides agree, but there would need to be legal papers signed and social workers involved and maybe a judge?

C) Naomi should have at least consulted with a social worker to help.

I truly enjoyed the confrontation between Leslie and Anita. It was a nice back-and-forth. It was just as good as the first one, and you can tell the writers adore writing for them. Ms. Anita was decked out in jewels today, mama looked sharp! Leslie said, 'I HAVE ARRIVED!'

Come on for the his eye is on the sparrow lyrics. I didn't understand what June meant by saying some day those kids will need somebody like me in their lives. Are they sending Martin to jail?

Martin and Bradley are the best couple on this show. Great fathers, too.

@janea4oldMVJ probably should have made Naomi a social worker.

Today's episode was soooo good. I love that June got a chance to see Samantha & Tyrell again, but I don't think June is going anywhere. I love Martin & Smitty as husbands and acting as the heads of their family.

The Dana/Leslie and Anita scenes were pretty great. This story is going to have a huge impact on the canvas. Let the games begin.

Jacob, the Boy Scout, gets on my nerves, as does Naomi and I can't wait for the cracks in their marriage to be on full display.

Yeah, I like him, but he can be annoying.

I won't be surprised if that happens at some point. I really don't think we've heard the last of Kenny and his ilk. Also I can't help but think at some point the writers might end up using June as a vehicle to eventually usher Samantha and Tyrell off the canvas when they get bored and tired of writing for them and they need a way to get rid of them.

I like Naomi and Jacob together, but they need some good conflict. This June thing seems to be bringing them closer.

And I am interested in seeing Leslie now being on an even footing with the Duprees in order to take them on. And the effect that it's going to have on Eva.

I do wish that they had waited a little bit for Leslie to drop the bomb on Anita, at least until the end of the episode. That seemed like it would've been the perfect hook to get people to tune in tomorrow.
