But ugh, this storyline is taking a weird turn. Doug just quit and wants to now be a money laundering king that rivals Joey? I don't know that we needed to go down that path, but if Doug isn't a contract player, maybe this will lead to his death?

This Doug/Vanessa/Joey storyline is just terrible all around.

I still think LB/Vanessa is carrying a lot of her material very well. Jon Lindstrom I go back and forth on by the day or minute tbh

Months ago, there were speculations on this board that Ashley's mother Jan once dated Joey Armstrong.  It wouldn't have occurred to me until I read those posts.   Watching today, it seems like whoever posted that theory might be right.

Perhaps Vanessa is in the situation where Jan once was long ago?

I'm loving the triangle between Dani-Andre-Ashley. 

Dani's commentary on Ashley has me chuckling. 

I wish we knew the reason why Hayley is faking this pregnancy. This show never likes to let us in on the secrets, we have to find them out as the other characters do... which is fine and effective sometimes, but not all the times.

• Vanessa, mama, you can play things off better than this... but bestie Nicole is hot on the case!

• Good on Jacob for noting how messy it was of Derek to go out with Ashley's supervisor. It was a bad move... Derek should be used to that.
• Quarter-life crisis? Is that a real thing? Damn, Jan. You must be reading, I guess.
• Well, now Vanessa knows Joey is bugging her conversations with Douglas, and she is not safe right now.

Notes:

• I appreciate the use of Facetime.
• So happy to continually see Jon Lindstrom (Joey) shine!! It is about time he got some good material in daytime, especially since he was not as Kevin on General Hospital.
• I see the chemistry testing between Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) and Robert Christopher Riley (Carlton), and while I do not hate it, I also hate what the character side of it could ultimately bring.

I have to admit I love spicy Doug lol.

 

Hayley really is following in a long line of soap pregnancy fakers. I cant wait to see who her mysterious friend is and how shes gonna get out of this mess.
