MVJ should have watched how Bill Bell wrote Sheila on B & B from 1992 to 1995 where she had moments where she was human, acted rational, but would sometimes veer toward acting up if she was threatened.  And she wasn't campy at all.

How Sheila Carter was written during those 3 years was exactly how SPS should be written.

Ugh.  That's what everyone says when I state my opinion and NO. I do *not* want to watch Hallmark movies. Not at all. Sheesh.

It really is possibly to have bad guys invoke lots of drama and then lose.  Happens all the time -- weekly on SVU and periodically on Star Trek.

I do agree that there aren't any heroes on BTG. Jacob tries to be a hero, but isn't one yet. Naomi was a hero until last week when she opened a closed adoption.

I think Nicole is the only character that's sort of written as a hero, but they don't give her much of a point of view or much to do.

I still have PSTD from Sheila Carter's first years on Y&R.  I never stopped loathing her and she has never seemed human to me.  Nothing B&B has ever done has changed that for me.

Hahah. We were just discussing that a second ago over in the B&B thread for the character of Sheila's grandchild Luna. Same problem, but I feel SilkPress can still be salvaged.

Now it hasn't been that farrrrr back. Some villains still get theirs. Of course, the problem becomes it is usually the stock villain du jour rather than the stay-on more complex villains, but still...

As far as I know, they haven't elaborated on whether anyone has yet received a distribution from the trust.  Anita knows there are some living relatives, because she commented she "wished" she'd invited them to attend the reunion concert in August, but she failed to.  She probably thinks Barbara's relatives are all living high on the hawg on her trust contributions.  Right now, as far as we know, 25% of the Articulette's royalties from 1970 onward could still be sitting there in the trust account waiting for Peaches to be located so Peaches can lead the trustees to Leslie.

Like @janea4old I'd like to see Leslie fall sooner or later.  But not right now.  I'd rather wait and see her have a big SPECTACULAR fall after she's driven the Duprees half crazy first, lol.  To me that's the fun of a villain like Leslie --- to see them ultimately crash & burn.

Same. I'm sure she will have one. No way for anyone to be on her side in the audience until she takes some Ls.

I wanna see Leslie get her just desserts in some "poetic" manner.

Maybe in February of 2027, Laura will be driving to work across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, see a WIG lying in the road, think it's a kitty-cat, swerve to avoid hitting it, accidentally strike Leslie's new Mercedes-Benz, and send Leslie head-first into the Atlantic, lol.

This just cracked me up because I can already imagine the dramatic and poor soap opera CGI to pull this off and it’s hysterical

Tricia Mann-Grant is the breakout star of BtG and she should move on to bigger and better things after finishing her initial contract. I say one contract is a decent shelf life for a villainess.

I don't know what the initial contract length is. I always thought three years was CBS daytime standard contract.

Yeah, I am wondering that as well re: is the contract 3 years? Cuz don't some new shows and projects still do 5 years?

Tamara actually said that one of the annoying things about being the token black character is that they were always presented as morally good because the networks wanted to avoid accusations of racism. Tamara seems to enjoy playing someone like Anita who certainly has some not so nice sides to her.

Fast forward to 56:00 in this interview and you will hear her say that.

    • Yikes -a Cane/Phyllis sex scene. Why was there no warning before this episode aired? And of course Phyllis had sex with her bra on.  Had to laugh when Cane, trying to think of Phyllis' password to sneak into her laptop, talks out loud so we (and she) can be clued into what's happening. What is Phyllis' financial standing? At one point she was wealthy enough to run a hotel-which she gave up in an instant(can't remember why-some inane reason) Now she's scrounging around for a job with Cane. The many residents of the GCAC who are living in hotel rooms don't seem to do anything to personalize their space-no photos, books etc. The GCAC must have a strict policy on that. Nikki did look good today. Still find her hairstyle a little dowdy though.
    • Then 87 is the year you're looking for. Vanessa leaves town in Jan 88. When I saw Jenny counseling Dinah about George making the pass at her, all I could think was that Van would be pissed Ross' latest fling was advising her daughter. Cop or not.
    • As much as I hate Phyllis, seeing Billy Flynn in those boxers briefs in today's episode, has me almost tolerating her. BF looks

    • Dear sweet June, you'll get it right eventually.  In the meantime it's a good chuckle.

    • Damn, Leslie went in on Shanice... poor girl! Leslie really can't handle stress or certain emotions well, she lashes out. I also think it's weird she wants to know so many details about Eva's love/sex life. Vernon was sweet to June. It was nice (realistic) to see a customer complain to her though while she's still trying to establish herself. I'll be that guy, but for me personally, my enthusiam/excitement over the show has stalled yet again over the last couple weeks. For the majority, it seems like we're in a holding pattern until Winterfest. It's like they don't want to rock the boat or do much until then, which leaves us in a quiet period here. Are sweeps a thing still these days? Seems odd that we're having a slow November. That ending was good, but I saw that coming... in theory it should have a quick resolution, but I'm guessing Leslie will expose it at Winterfest and it'll get throw out of proportion haha.
    • Yes. Why? I don't really care. Vanessa is also acting dumb, trying to run between tables, on a date with Ross in one room and a business meeting with Alan in another.  One of the few times Van is written as less than the smart woman she was.
    • I've been specifically looking for the episodes for Ross and Van together, because they essentially both raise Dinah at that period and the recaps around her typically avoid the Dorie years, the carnies, or Alan-Michael and Cam. I'm really just trying to trace a throughline between Paige, Wendy, and Gina. The last two are "easy," but it just messes with my timeline when Dinah thinks Alan-Michael would kill Ross. Then again, that Alan-Michael slept with his own stepdaughter, so...
    • Anyway...they literally mentioned the secret room today on Days and yes, this show needs a Kristen lesbian story lol.
    • Yes, they did a 'premiere' of Maggie's death episodes at the ArcLight theatre in Los Angeles, arguably then the nicest movie theatre chain in the USA. Plus, Suzanne and Deidre were in a ton of scenes together during this time. Whatever happened between them happened after 2004.
    • There are episodes with Jenny (Mary Ellen Stuart) that she was in pre-writers strike.. and I know that she lasts until at least August 1988. It's a shame that the show didn't try pairing her with Rusty since the two had more chemistry than she had with Ross and that he had with Rose.
