Since the picture is of a boy and girl I thought maybe June was Bill's sister. We know his mom is dead but they never mentioned anything about his siblings.  Maybe somehow they just lost touch with each other.

I hadn't thought of this but I love that idea. I want June to be connected in a different way from what we expect which is Haley or Dumb and Dumber. Would be a nice surprise and also tie into Naomi's reconciliation with Bill to reunite him with a sister she may not have known about.

A Jazmen script...the gift that keeps on giving.

Mission accomplished. As much as I don't like it, I noticed then and I noticed now that with the baby twist in the Dani/Bill/Hayley storyline, that I cannot look at their scenes and not see Marlena/John/Kristen circa DAYS late 90s when Kristen was faking her pregnancy pre-Susan. I guess it works because Hayley annoying me in a 'love to hate' kinda of way like Kristen then when you know she's lying, but she's hamming it up to be a victim. So those scenes with Hayley/Bill trying to read Dani after they had come to an understanding was just ugh. I also felt it was a set-up for Dani to run into Andre and Ashley on their date...and I was not wrong. So that was well-done in terms of the episode.

And of course, BRAVO!!! I was impressed both times that Kenny being at Martin's house was REAL!!! And not a fake-out. May this show continue to keep its fake-outs to a minimum. Because Kenny being IN THE HOUSE was creepy and upped the stakes even more. Yeeeah, I didn't like Ty being all upset as if Martin ain't the parent. And Martin was definitely acting like a parent. I also loved like I mentioned before that the show verified what someone here suggested that Joey count the money...AND HE DID. The little things. Meanwhile, Jacob and Smitty continue to compare notes and get closer to the truth.

And we know I LOVE Nosy Nurse getting her foine butt out of the hospital. FINALLY!!!! And on a date with DEREK of all people? I don't hate it. And they had chemistry. And the tension it gave to the Andre/Ashley date was great. I liked learning more about Derek and definitely love learning more about Nosy Nurse. Ashley continued to give Carrie Bradshaw-lite about it. And I liked the little beat of Derek not liking she was there with Andre nor was he surprised.

And lest I forget...good cliffhanger with Bill/Joey's conversation and Dani seeing Andre/Ashley.

Thank you, I appreciate that! We always have similar thoughts and opinions about these show and I don't say that often enough.

Today Monday July 14, this episode is so intense!  I missed the first 25 minutes but what I've seen so far, I was holding my breath.  Commercial break now, taking a breath.  Can't wait to watch the beginning later today.

  • Deadbeat, Deadbeat, Deadbeat... you know, if you were fücking honest (for once), your daughter would know to stay away from the White man stalking you. But no, you keep your deadbeat mouth shut.
  • Ooh, Vernon does not like being summoned, especially by the likes of Bill Hamilton, but you both have some messy mess to clean up.
  • Allison, baby, you are stalking Chelsea, and it shows in both her and Madison's reaction. You are giving 'unhinged former lover' syndrome, and it's not cute. Maybe you are the one who beats on Craig? Not the other way around.
  • Black skin? Sir, your racism is showing in public. Might want to watch it. But Deadbeat, I wouldn't even listen to you with your ignorant, deadbeat-like ass. Be honest for once in your damn life.
  • Good on Bradley for standing his damn ground; it's about time he did it. Show your 'partner' you mean business.
  • Not Ashley alluding to things concerning the child bride while she sits at the nearby table.
  • NO BRADLEY GIVE THE DAMN ULTIMATUM! DON'T BUCKLE NOW! Leave his dumb ass. You, your children... you both deserve better than a deadbeat, secret-keeping liar.
  • Bill versus Vernon is interesting; I wonder if it'd be this volatile if Bill were still married to Dani at this point. THat makes me wonder.
  • Here's Bradley, cleaning up the mess once again... this poor man deserves some damn love and support, which he is not getting from the [!@#$%^&*] that's supposed to be his husband.
  • I love Ashley icing out the child bride while also calling her out on the inconsistencies regarding cravings during pregnancy. Do it, Ashley!!! Do it up!!!!
  • Poor Vernon looked and sounded like he was going to cry leaving Anita that voicemail. The poor guy just needs his wife back.
  • For once I am on Bill's side with this one.
  • Awe, the five-finger word. That was too cute! I do like that Bradley and Jacob are friends and have that kind of relationship with each other. The spouses of the Dupree grandkids.
  • "You planned the pregnancy." BOOM! Call her out, Ashley... if only the child bride was actually pregnant.
  • ALLISON YOU ARE DERANGED!! Like, psychotic. Go away!

Notes:

  • We have entered into the era of 'fall preview' promo spots for primetime television. And nothing looks even remotely interesting.
  • Both Najah Jackson (Samantha) and Mike Manning (Bradley) are carrying Brandon Claybon (Martin) through this storyline, and I can tell their backs are absolutely breaking.
  • Manning and Jibre Hordges (Jacob) work so well off of each other.
  • I'm sorry, but everyone at Uptown is getting the buffalo chicken, and I'm going to need it now, too!!!

It’s been ROUGH. I actually thought he was settling in around mid-May (his best acting was him reading the eff out of Bill in that dream sequence), but the regression has been real. And he’s the lead.

I don't necessarily think it's regression. Around the same time that everyone was saying BC was showing growth, I mentioned that he has shown some growth in his more casual scenes, but whenever he needs to give more emotion, it comes across unintentionally funny. Bc needs some work and it's one of the downfalls of giving such green actors such heavy material, because we all get taken right out of the moment.

The same is true for the Chelsea character. I think the way her whole love life is being written is a little ridiculous, but the actress isn't helping either.

It’s really bad - he’s doing [bad] sketch comedy acting for what’s supposed to be serious and dramatic. He just doesn’t know any better. This is where an on-set acting coach really helps, which soaps probably can’t afford anymore. For example, Lisa Brown continued to be the acting coach for the younger actors on GL for years after she last played Nola.

Martin really isn't a great father. He needs some serious guidance. Thankfully those kids have Smitty.

Loved the Ashley/Hayley stuff. I also wonder why Hayley would fake a pregnancy, not sure where this is going.

Stalker girl is getting creepy, and I like it.

It is time for someone to spill this secret, even if it's just a small part of it. It is starting to feel like those awful clickbait stories online "You'll Never Guess What She Did When She Caught her Husband Cheating with the Best Man." You click through slides and ads, but the story really doesn't go anywhere, it just regurgitates really vague details and you are stuck flipping through each slide until you finally get to the end and it's usually not very satisfying.

Honestly, best scene Ashley has had so far IMO. JJ does not do the emotional stuff well. Every sad scene or crying scene was so painful to watch, but this meddling stuff came across much better. I hope I don't end up regretting saying this.
