I don’t know that I can suffer through Rikkart and Budig, two actors who I used to enjoy that I now find painful to watch, but they’ve certainly come out swinging with these two legends.

Not an EB fan, but he did have some interesting insight to give into the soap world so I quite enjoyed the podcast.

Can’t wait to see Deidre Hall’s episode. One word - Queen!

I liked Deidre Hall's episode. She got me crying from the get go... after hearing the story about the fan who was going blind... and her last wish was to see Marlena/Deidre in real life.

Loved Episode 2 with Queen Dee. Good interview. Dee doesn’t warm up to just anyone but she obviously loves Greg. So glad to see Greg thriving with this podcast and his Lead Actor Emmy nomination. He’s beloved by many.

I love Deidre Hall.  But I felt she was a bit dismissive and cold towards Rebecca Budig.  Did anyone else notice this? I may have read the vibe incorrectly.

Budig is kind of fake so maybe Deirdre sensed that.

I'm all for a Soap Podcast.. but Budig and Rikaart are just annoying horrible people that I can't stomach watching for too long.

I cringe at their chit-chats at the beginning of every episode. They think they're so cute and funny to watch, but come off as very annoying. I've started fast-forwarding their opening chit-chats.

Totally agree..

I felt it too. It wasn't just you.

Even though I liked the episode (mostly because Deidre is so charming and intelligent)... they really need to think of more clever and interesting questions to ask. That's not a true criticism... because for what they are (a boring safe soap opera podcast)... they are okay... but I feel like I've heard all of this (the themes and questions - for example - what is the freakiest storyline you've done - she's been asked this 1 million times) before. And about Rebecca Budig, a lot of the times she seems lost in the conversation, laughs where the topic is kind of serious. And again, not a criticism, there are people like that and that can even be charming... but still I find her a little disconnected compared to the guy - Greg. He works for the podcast better. His whole demeanor is a lot sharper and you really listen to him when he talks. I regularly forget that RB is even sitting there... while the podcast is going on. Maybe she is just not the personality for it. Again, all of this is subjective. For what they are... it works like that just fine.

I feel like Greg (and Leo) are more popular amongst Days fans than social media would suggest. I personally find him one of the highlights of Days. I could do with a better backstory but he gives me a little bit of the Sami I'm missing with Sweeney gone.

Two episodes in and I do enjoy Soapy. I knew the hosts would annoy me but I found them to be a bit better in episode two. I can see them growing into competent hosts. I like that they have soap knowledge and seem engaged in the conversation as opposed to say The Locher Room where Alan is often un-prepared, lost and only listening enough to jump to his next question while disregarding what the person previously said. The real test will be this weeks episode since it's with someone neither has worked with.

Diedre Hall was a wonderful interview. I love that she touched on some things we (or at least I) don't often hear her speak about. I loved that she brought up the SIDS story which I only recently learned existed. I've always wondered what happened with her at Y&R and we finally have more insight there. I think it's insane such a big soap star was an original cast member on the #1 soap and has never returned (and it's rarely acknowledged) despite her being such a huge star. This makes me even more interested in seeing the early years of Y&R. I can't imgine how she lasted two years the way she described her characters purpose.

Greg and ‘Leo’ are clearly way more popular outside of the SON bubble. This board is not the consensus.  Leo is a favorite character of mine. Days keeps writing for Leo, even with new writers so I’m sure they get their feedback from a myriad of sources and not just 1 board.
Deidre is Deidre. I’ve met her and seen her in action.

I truly enjoyed the interview with Sheila Ducksworth. She's articulate, intelligent and very charismatic. The interview was informative and a good use of time.

Apparently, I'm in the minority, but I love RB & GR 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️
