Well, obviously Cane is not going to be murdered.  But he is likely the intended victim.  The murderer will kill Chance, thinking he is Cane. In the maze, in the dark, etc.       

And since both the murder victim and the murderer will necessarily leave the show, I think the two most expendable characters on the Riviera are Chance and Damian.

Damian and Lily genuinely have chemistry and Damian is unfortunately going to be sacrificed at the altar of Young Cane.

Are the grannies at home that still watch this show that CBS is so worried about losing  like super excited about a million scenes talking about businesses?

Jermaine Rivers body is EVERYTHING. And I’m a sucker for tattoos so I was salivating.

Thurs June 26 U.S.

Cole is still in the hospital in Chicago. He is asleep
Victoria and Claire make a quick stop in Genoa City to check on Johnny and Katie and to get a change of clothes, but plan to return to Chicago before Cole wakes up.

Esther is still managing Crimson Lights. She waits on Victoria and Claire.
Victoria tells Esther that Cole has Legionnaires’ Disease.

Legionnaires’ Disease.

Legionnaires’ Disease -- that's a new way to write out a soap character - if he dies, which isn't certain. 
There have been no spoilers about this (and this is a nonspoiler thread anyhow.) 
Just saying, Cole's fate is uncertain.
It's hard to tell with a sporadically recurring actor.

And Esther gets an appearance.
 

Nate walks in and joins Victoria and Claire at their table.  Claire has a panic attack and dashes outside to the park for air.

What's most interesting about this scene is that Victoria and Nate talk about their past relationship, forgiveness for how it ended, and becoming friends again.  Nate listens as Victoria talks about Cole, and he is supportive.  He seems to miss being a doctor.

With the lack of cell service at the Dumas/Cane estate in France, Nate hasn't heard from Audra.  
*** Speculation:  perhaps *if* Cole dies, they might pivot back to Nate/Victoria?  Or at least they'll be in each other's orbit whenever Victoria returns to Genoa City.

I'd prefer to see Nate as a doctor again instead of a businessman, so I hope he decides to return to practicing medicine.

Meanwhile Claire is outside panicking about Cole's illness. 
Shirtless Holden is jogging and sees her.  He realizes that she's having a panic attacke, and he gives her techniques to help her calm herself.
I don't care about Claire.
But it was interesting that Holden said he had a history of having anxiety attacks when he was a teen and he tells her what he learned from that.
Holden seemed sincere and that was a new side of him. . .

They might pivot to Holden/Claire (I hope not).
But . . . is Holden really sincerely caring about Claire?  Is that story about his past anxiety true?  Or does Holden he have an agenda with Claire?  I don't know. 

Audra and Kyle in swimsuits in France, each flirting with the other, supposedly faking the flirting in order to each further their own agendas to manipulate the other for business reasons. 

Audra deserves better than Kyle!  Arghh.  I hope they don't go there.

I'd be more interested in an Audra/Sally pairing.

So I'm to take it the reason Cane is rich and 'powerful' is because of cryptocurrency? Over six years time? I had more of a reaction to the fact that Colin is dead since Tristen Rogers was good in the role when they allowed him to be crafty with Jill. 

 

I kinda want more of a reason how Victor figured it out other than 'it's Victor!' It just is not flying with me. At all. Neither is this whole Cane reveal. Neither is new flashback as a reason. None of it.

 

Meanwhile, Damian continued to look more and more irrelevant by the second. And as much as I love seeing JR sitting spread eagle, he should be doing more than just standing around. I love BF, but all I saw this episode, Friday, and probably going forward is how much the Cane reveal is hijacking Damian's whole storyline because he could have easily been doing all of this. Like I mentioned the only day, a reveal by Damian of one upping everyone and having them fighting over shares in this setting (could Lily convince him, upping their relationship status, too...or if Phyllis tried it and irking Lily) could have worked. 

 

While I'm not necessarily a Cane hater, Lily has always been better and more developed when she's not around or with him. And Cane (well under DG) was at this best when he was dark. It might be too early to tell, but romantic lead Cane is a no for me. Especially since I like Lily/Damian better, but I already said how I felt about the hijacking so...

 

I had to giggle at the Victor/Cane sitdown scene and all mentions of sitdowns alone. lol. It made me think of this board how all people have said is that people just sit around and talk. And here...Victor and Cane...are sitting around and talking. And no energy in that scene. Powerful...WHERE??? If this was Victor vs Damian, I feel it would be more evenly matched and the scenes from last week with them did have energy for me. Victor vs Cane...I already want Victor to wipe the floor with him. Not helped by all the other characters propping Cane like he's 'powerful.' If we have to prop, then the storyline (and character) is already a flop. 

 

Joshua Morrow suuuuure was looking like a snack in that blue buttoned-down.

 

I'm not here for Woe is Me Billy. And you are telling me that Billy NEVER recognize Cane's voice on the phone? And I continue to feel Sally deserves better.

Yeah, I feel the BTG males got it on lock. But outside of this week and GH with Gio...Y&R rarely lets their hotties undress for eye candy drooling. And the camera angles have been outside of Sean Dominic lacking as of late. So it's noticeable...and deserved.

I only seen pictures, clips, and very brief on Friday since busy work day so I'm really looking forward to seeing the scenes in full. It was clear the cameraman was loving JR cuz that one angle of his back with the tatt and just how muscular he looked...I was kicking myself for having to do errands. lmao. Makes a man want to be as Beyonce would say...be a naughty girl. 😜

Between this and that train business, Y&R desperately wants to turn the clock back to 1976.

I just tuned in while the show was halfway through and Nick & Sharon are having dinner with Damien & Lily in France (random), also Cane is suddenly back in Genoa drinking coffee at Crimson Lights (also random). Why is everyone still at the Chateau in France when Cane isn’t even there anymore? Clearly I missed something
