B&B: June 2025 Discussion Thread

The only way *destiny* works is if RM is in the role. After 13 years of TK, both Ridge and Brooke should have moved on. TK and RB certainly do have a good vibe, so why not go for it. 

$B should be Brooke's main man. Now that doesn't mean, either Brooke/$B can stray. The chemistry and history is there. And, frankly, the way DD has been wasted during the past 5 years is appalling. 

I'm at the point where I stopped reading full daily recaps. The headline is enough to know I don't care. That bums me out. There is absolutely no reason B&B should be this unwatchable.

It's been a while since they paired a Forrester with one of Ridge's offspring. I hope it remains that way, and if they do recast he's not the latest 3rd wheel to Eleckra & Will.

Bill Bell never said he favored any couple, they were written as a triangle, he loved both women. Bill Bell was also the one that coined Brooke and Ridge  as unforgettable. IMHO Logan was never third choice, she was second choice to Caroline and Taylor was second choice to Brooke Bradley is the one who wrote Ridge and Taylor as couple sans Logan

 

Also millions of fans have seen this version of Taylor since her return in 04, no one is shocked lol

Taylor was dead in 2004. You mean 2005.  I strongly disagree that "millions of fans have seen this version of Taylor since her return in 04". Rebecca Budig's Taylor is TIMES AND TIMES more pathetic and dull... than OG Taylor's worst days (When Taylor was shooting people and and kissing Brooke's feet)... or even Krista Allen's short-lived stint.

But even that disgrace... does not compare to the 2025 era - Taylee, as we call her these days aka Fake Taylor.  Rebecca Budig has been given N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Fake Taylor doesn't have a spine, she is a lifeless prop. Not a human being. OG Taylor, even at her worst... was never SUCH a HARDCORE non-entity, a gray mouse that walks around dressed in horrible clothes and waits for Ridge to give her some attention. PROPOSING TO RIDGE. OMG. That's rock bottom. Even her "fights" with Brooke don't work this time. They just don't. The entire conflict lacks oxygen and blood. Brooke looks bored and Fake Taylor looks like she is in the wrong show. 

Don't get me wrong - I don't blame the actress, Rebecca is not bad at all, it's the writing. As @dragonflies said it, Bradley has a thing for humiliating Taylor these days. Such a shame that Budig is the one to play this. 

OG Taylor had millions of fans even back in 2005. What Taylor has been turned into... after 2013 especially... is absolute disgrace. Bradley completely destroyed the Taylor-camp through the years. And that was a very active fan base. Everyone who remembers the old forums, remembers that.

Crew Morrow is no Giovanni Mazza, but he did look good. Still, the whole caper was so stupidly planned that I wanted Luna to shoot him. There was no game plan at all.

And why was Will wired up like that, wrapped in all that? Surveillance on this show is from The 1960s.

So what? I've seen the classic Bold episodes more than once, I know them by heart. I don't know what this clip proves and what it has to do with my statement that the current Taylor is beyond pathetic. I've never said that Ridge didn't love Brooke. 

Also... Ridge has said similar if not even grander things to Taylor when she was the chosen one many times. He has told her that she is the woman of his life many times. It's a soap opera and characters flip flop like that all the time.

This clip is from Bradley Bell's era already and episode "1844" is when Ridge thought Taylor had died in a plane crash. Before that he had plenty of opportunities to be with Brooke, but always chose Taylor. Let me remind you that Ridge chose Taylor even when he thought Brooke was pregnant by him. 

But anyways... I don't know why I'm having to explain this. I've never claimed Ridge didn't love Brooke. My statement was to do with the entire character of Taylor. I still stand by it.

I guess we have just proved why Brad Bell keeps circling back to Brooke/Ridge/Taylor. It still gets people engaged and talking. There's not a lot of positives being said, but I guess Brad Bell subscribes to the idea that any kind of audience reaction is better than no reaction at all.

Saying that Logan was his third choice would be like saying Victor was Mickey's third choice!  Who you marry has nothing to do with the choice you originally want  Also my dad, Taylor came back in 2005, that doesn't change the fact that she has been a hot mess for 20 years on screen
