-- So Lulu talks to Gio and lets him know he's been celebrating the wrong day as his birthday. Geez, does Lulu ever think before opening her mouth?

I like Amanda Setton very much as BLQ -- about as much as I hate her wardrobe and that she's permitted to get away with that.

It's mid-June and today she was again in long-sleeved head-to-toe black. Just awful, and it does detract from the scene. It just does.

It really does. I get hot look looking at her.

Lulu is completely out of control. As I've stated before, I'm looking forward to Brook Lynn giving her some payback.

I see that SOD just posted an explainer about Rocco's conception and birth storyline.
(There's a hinted spoiler in it, so don't click if you want to be spoilerfree).

For anyone willing to read it, would you verify  if this is what happened? Because, wow.

Yep it happened just like that

Thanks.  Wow, so I see where this storyline could go, then.

I don't like Rocco and Gio being used as pawns in all of this argument between Lulu and Brook Lynn.   Thankfully Finn Carr (Rocco) is a talented actor, and I think GM as Gio will do well, too.

I like Emma more and more every day. It's well past the time for somebody to put Carly's rabid dog in her place and I hope this continues. I hope Emma outsmarts all of them. Vaughn did look hot though.

I'm still enjoying angry Gio too. But Lulu trying to comfort him isn't gonna make me like her lol. The writing has really messed up her character.

Btw, someone really ought to tell Sasha that the baby's name is Daisy, not Dacey.

"Apology by Lulu" certainly goes down a little differently.

I get why Gio is cool with Lulu. She told him the truth. He would rather have truth than lies.

I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying Rory as Michael. He had NONE of this fire as Noah because JG is an incompetent writer. I actually wouldn’t hate to see him as Noah again one day with someone else writing.

Cameron Mathison is just so good and awful as Drew. I hated Ryan Lavery because he was supposed to be a good guy but was a prick, Drew however is happily a prick and it just works.

Definite redemption for Rory Gibson and a middle finger to anyone who blamed him for that mess of a Noah on YR. Josh Griffith gave him nothing.

I agree here, too. So many people don't like CM in the role, but I love his smarmy POS take on the character. And since when doesn't he fit in with the Quartermaines?

The list of horrific treatment of others and outright crimes by the Quartermaines is long and storied. This is not the Wilder family from Little House on the Prairie. Drew fits in perfectly.

That’s what drives Tracy so crazy. Drew is a perfect Quartermaine and she hates it 😂

I think one of the issues with Drew and the Quartermaines is there's no one in the family who likes him or even tolerates him. If they ever want to dial the character down a little, then the next new/old Quartermaine they bring in could form some type of bond with him.

I'd rather see Alexa's Lulu act confused about why she was slapped

Because she deserved it with that mouth. 😜

Wardrobe is literally my only issue with Setton as BLQ. She has great chemistry with her onscreen family and in general with most of her castmates. She and Alexa feel like they’ve worked together for years.

Yeah at this point I feel the same. And I thought she was dressed just fine for the Slap Needed to Be Heard Around PC

I am probably hoping for too much, but I do hope their rivalry keeps going and they can be co-leading ladies.

Yeah I actually liked the blouse she had on today/yesterday. I think there’s is a rivalry that truly has legs and can be revisited for years to come.

I definitely have not liked a lot of what I've seen her wear since I've been back watching, but that for sure was not a bad choice IMHO.

The only issue with their rivalry besides any slanted writing is just the fact they are recasts. Their history went back decades already before last year so you are hitting bullseye on that. And this latest round is just continuing to show that it has legs to keep going.

Personally, I wish Lulu had more self-awareness to see her actions are only going to make her own words about BLQ self-fulfilling prophecy.

If they wanted to it wouldn't be difficult. Go into his brainwashing, etc. trauma and have him explain his shift, have him reconnect with people he was close to like Jake. Save a few lives, etc. I wouldn't soften him up too much because Cameron plays a very good scheming cad. But I also don't think it would be that difficult to get him closer to the place Mulcahey had him in last spring.

But realistically I don't think the show cares, and I think a lot of the audience will always hate him. You never know though! For now he gives very good organic villain, and I think he should stay an antagonist even if he got more dimension back.

I agree the audience will never accept him - aside from a few people who enjoyed Nina/Drew, I've only ever seen abject hatred for Cameron's version of Drew when I go to Twitter. And even the praise tends to be love to hate at various places.

Drew does need to be toned down a little, but I wouldn't change the character too much in order to give him an ally in the Q family, I would just bring in someone else who might be amoral and like him doesn't fit in with most of the current Q mainstays. Maybe a modern variation on Alexandria (just with less global conquest plans).

It's funny you mention that. I always liked what I've seen of Alexandria in 1981, she's a hoot. Seeing as she was (IIRC) a replacement character for Jane who dipped out on Monty's GH, I always thought it would be a good idea to introduce an illegitimate child or even grandchild of hers from Europe - Alex was a globetrotting debutante - maybe an awkward fish out of water type who could do a comic romance with someone like spoiled (recast) Joss, etc. I remember the Howarth fans trying to boost the idea of him playing the son of Alex and Tony Cassadine in 2013, and that tangled bloodline is an option for some other actor as well although I think it's a bit much.

I don't know how much Drew needs to be toned down, but I do think he could be again if you wanted to eventually turn some portion of the audience to him. And introduce that he does still genuinely care about some things and people. Most won't accept him because of the whole obnoxious Carly interregnum even before Willow but some could. I just wouldn't get rid of him any time soon. I think Cameron plays this stuff to the hilt, and he's not another lame attempt at a supervillain (yet). I also think someone needs to mention to Tracy that Drew in many ways mirrors a lot of her past - which is probably why she hates him so much, in addition to his previously-close relationship with Monica. (That's another interesting thing re: Tracy that put the Gio drama over with me for Lois - pitting them against each other again after all these years. In the end Lois has the same hypocritical monomania about the Qs that she did in '96-'97, and that is why she hid Gio away.)
