The internet has me cracking up. Remember Nicole running that stop sign in first episode. Since that was shown again today, they are not going to let her live that down.

I thought they were both fine.

I actually like her running that stop sign. I think it's indicative of the way the Duprees play the game and live life -- making their own rules and ignoring ones they don't like.

Well, weather in Georgia (where they film) versus weather in the DMV area (where serial is set) are two different weathers. And I can guarantee if they did fake snow outside, people would've hated it.

Yes, and weather in Georgia in July is not always pleasant. It can get quite muggy. I stayed in New Orleans and can attest. It's even muggy up here by NYC right now.

Sorta like what GL had at the end

As a huge GL fan, (and I can see from your avi that you are, too), please take this back.

She didn't even pop her brakes, lol.  But that's the way the Duprees roll, so maybe it's our first shot of character development.

reaching too high

I wouldn't have even made Martin a Congressman yet, if they'd asked my input.  I would've started him out in the state legislature, where President Obama was circa 1997-2004.  There would've been a lot more room for growth in his character (and in his career) if he were a rising young state rep or state senator from a prominent family who is harboring a secret that could potentially derail him before he ever even has a chance to run for Congress.

Also, I can't shake the feeling that it was a mistake to make him Anita & Vernon's grandson.  I think the story would be served better if he were their youngest child, the "pampered baby" with a pair of older sisters.  I saw that opportunity as a "miss" on Day 1, and I still see it that way.

I'm not bothered by much of the Articulettes backstory, except as someone said above, their success should've been more understated.  There was no need to make Anita an all-out Diana Ross. It would've been just as effective (and more believable & relatable) to have the band be a minor Motown act from the early 1970s.

I would call this the 'Thursday' episode. lol. A story shift from Martin's Secret back to Dani/Bill/Hayley which has been in C plot mode, but is not the main main story focus this week. I really like Teresa's breakdowns still because it's giving consistency in plot...something that will be needed when the climaxes hit. And the B/C plots this episode were holding my interest. Still...it still felt uneven overall though that coda at the end was EVERYTHING.

I don't like that they skipped to the next day rather than let the audience in on the meeting between everyone involved in Martin's Secret. So for that...I will eat SOME crow. I also figured that I guess the writers want to tease it out just a little bit longer. Still...disappointed. I would have rather Martin had gotten into it with his dad over the ON-SCREEN reveal that he changed Kenny's face rather than Martin tell it secondhand to Bill.  I like the confirmation, but hate that that was a scene that should have played out in the moment AND on-screen. And then nothing of the plot until the end when Martin starts to set up 'the trap' for Kenny.

I love all things having to do with Dani/Andre. And the fact that it is slowly coming out even with external and internal conflicts happening has been making it fascinating to watch. I feel it's the second B story behind the Doug/Vanessa/Joey storyline that has been fleshed out organically. And I guess someone felt the same way given this has probably been the most that Dani and Ashley have been around each other. And knowing what's going on with both while neither lady knows about the other (yet) is just so soapy. Add on Bill not knowing what's up with Dani and Andre when Andre is right in front of him is just juicy. And the near misses going on with eyes and body languages.

And speaking of near-misses, awww at Ted missing his chance to tell his wife that their son is in trouble because she figured that Ted was talking about Dani/Andre. It was like something out of DAYS OF OUR LIVES'S playbook circa 90s. And I was not mad at it. I liked Eva encouraging Ted to tell her. And I loved Ted reading Nicole down. I love Nicole, but she was being insufferable. DD was playing it to the hilt though. And of course, I love Nicole's confrontation with Andre.

I didn't mind the Kat/Tomas scenes cuz...BUBBLE. hehe. He did the right thing. I don't know if Kat was feeling some insecurity or what, but it felt out of character for her to want to lose her virginity right now. Good that Tomas did not go through with it.

And now about that coda...so...DANI WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! Hayley is FAKING IT!!! Well, well, well. That is sure to be the thing that torpedoes her with Bill and I'm not sorry for it. lol. But it does put Dani/Bill/Hayley back in A story focus again down the road so le sigh. This episode showed that with this plot twist Hayley will now have something to do, Bill has Martin's Secret, and Dani is dealing with Andre drama so it could be a nice mix as they come in and out of each other's storylines. And all of this just when Bill and Dani have come to an understanding and were getting along, too. smh. Darn Hayley. :DRewatching the episode...I admit that I liked how well done it was in dialogue...it was there the WHOOOOOLE time with how the doctor was acting and how Bill was wording things...and okay, Hayley's guilty looks...but it went over my head. Well-played.

And watch...since Ashley is the one who suspects...I wonder if she will start to tell Dani, but Dani will be DANI and Ashley won't tell her out of clear spite.

They're way too young. I think they're maybe more like the Pointer Sisters.

Agreed.  And actually, I understand stop signs on privately owned streets and parking lots (like country clubs, shopping centers, grocery store parking lots, private gated communities, etc.), are only enforceable if there is an accident.  In other words -- as long as you don't cause an accident, you can run stop signs all day long on private streets and parking lots, without getting a ticket.   That's the way it is in Ohio anyway.

Look, I wasn't impressed at the time. I'm not going to lie. However, with the right budget and some proper creative tooling, it can be a great way to have an outdoor space.

Okay, I'm just gonna take it back.

The gala I let slide, but that fashion show took me completely out of the fantasy. There wasn't enough extras, the show was literally two seconds long and showcased well a bag...or a prototype. I was shocked honey, I was in tears almost...not a single 80s prom purse.

There is no universe in which BTG staging or remotes look (or should look, IMO) anything like Peapack.

Is this a thing? Seriously asking...

I'm not being completely serious. I was just shocked when I saw the bag. It felt very dated and out of character for two young stylish entrepreneurs. I work with teen girls and I couldn't imagine them thinking that bag was it. Trends come and go and they come back around, but that just doesn't feel now nor does it feel like a bag I would want to design a whole company around.

I keep calling it an 80s prom clutch or purse, because it just feels old and not in a classic way and deifnitely not an innovative way. Like the chain strap with the sequins and the bow didn't feel fresh. If they changed the strap or even the shape, but I was shocked to see it when the fashion show came around.

Maybe I was just expecting something less formal and more atheleisure and they came out in dresses and that underwhelming bag.

But I mean here's a 1987 prom catalog with a sequin bag and metallic strap.
