• Intimate interludes? You're both sex with some slight emotional attachments. You're both adults. Get over it. Dani, you and Andre both forget that Nicole has questioned the both of you regarding what may/may not be going on with the both of you.
• I agree, Ashley: Naomi, this is not the time for that kind of humour, especially when your bestie is on the verge of breakdown.
• Uh-oh, here comes Douglas walking in on Joey and Vanessa post-agreement sex. The room must smell of success. Think so, Dougie?
• This vulnerability in Dani is beautiful; her admitting she's afraid of being blindsided again. That's real. And I am sure it's a weight that has been weighing on her shoulders for far too long. And not the "trashy pregnant ho" comment.
• Deadbeat is a deer lost in headlights right now. DEER!
• The post-sex glow of Chelsea and Madison is there. I can sense it and see it.
• Dani is about to admit what's going on... and Chelsea is in love? Oh, this is totally puppy love. And that is natural. I've been there, done that and all of that stuff.
• OH SNAP! Marcel is involved with Deadbeat's secret? And connected with Kenny, too?! Oh, this just got JUICY!!!
• I love that both Dani and Naomi have asked Andre and Ashley, respectively, if there is "someone else" on their part.
• Ella Mai, SZA and Beyoncé? Damn. Three amazing musicians. And I love that we acknowledge Dani's been in the modeling world, where it isn't strictly heterosexual. That's refreshing. A certain soap, set in the fashion world, should absolutely do the damn same. 👀
• Bradley, you deserve better than Deadbeat; stop trying to be the husband he does not deserve, because he is giving you nothing in return.
• Vanessa is fully in control of the situation with Douglas and Joey. And Vanessa's balled-up fist to keep from swinging at someone is brilliant.
• And, just like that, Dani thought the Andre subject had been avoided. But nope!

Notes:

• "What's gay sex like?" ⏤ BRILLIANT QUESTION FOR AMERICAN DAYTIME TELEVISION! You don't even get "What's sex like?" as a question, so this is another brilliant leap forward.
• New drinking game: anytime someone asks, "What colour's your money?" we take a drink of something.
• I've found the first consistency problem: Jen Jacob's (Ashley) hair changed over the past three episodes; the parting/styling has slowly just transitioned away, and yet we're meant to still be on the same night of Friday's episode. No one else has had this issue.
• I want to know what's done on this soap that the other four cannot manage when it comes to dropping real-life names of social media, celebrities, etc. We have Faceplace on one soap, but on this we have Facebook, etc.

@Taoboi Thank you for speaking on the lack of POV from Nicole. You are not wrong. I had issues with it since the anniversary party. Glad we could agree on that!

It's great to let your actors and crew and staff know they've got your back, but I don't think this is the best way.

Some people here were offended by a comparison to Ron Carlivati fighting with viewers, but I think that comparison is fair. I don't want to see MVJ argue with social media, and I don't want her on some Carlivati path.

I'm on the record as a huge Michele Val Jean fan. She's a daytime legend and story of daytime cannot be written without her name. That's why I don't want her to resort to posts like this.

same for vernon and martin. i know the # of sets is a $$ issue. but, at least these two could meet at the depree manse, where discussing what’s supposed to be a secret could not be overheard?

I kinda felt a little disappointed by her posting, too. I mean...it's a soap! You're ALWAYS going to have viewers with differing opinions on how it should go. The point is that they're TALKING ABOUT IT! When they stop talking about the show, that's when you need to worry! 

Plus, it's the first year of the show. I would think it would be essential to hear what viewers think so far, so that you can adjust as needed. Some things, such as Derek and Ashley, clearly aren't working no matter how you try to spin it. The characters really didn't work from Episode 1. I still think those two characters were sort of forced into the show by the network who wanted at least one white couple, so they're not very thought out. There's a lot I like about the show, but, of course, it's not going to be perfect!

The comment sort of came of as "I don't care if you like the show or watch it and your opinions don't matter as an audience." Not a good vibe. Maybe MVJ was having a bad day or something.

I didn't read it that way. My *interpretation* of what MVJ said:
I think she intended to say something like

• paraphrased in my own words, guessing what she's thinking
  "I'm aware of the complaints about some storylines fading out or feeling inconsistent, and I want to reassure you that there is a longterm plan, and.... that some things that seem to make no sense now, do fit into a larger overview, and will make sense eventually. And I do know what I'm doing."

I mean maybe she was a bit gruff in how she said it, but I don't think she intended to be gruff.  She follows a lot of social media accounts of ordinary soap fans, and she's aware of the feedback.  If she didn't care what viewers thought, she wouldn't read their thoughts.

They were actually in her story bible when the show was being developed... but I view them as the 'token' happy couple that are perfect for one another on paper... but in reality, the two are not as perfect for one another as one would think.

I predict that they aren't end game and were never meant to be end game (i.e Brooke Logan and her first boyfriend Dave Reed on B & B were never meant to be end game... and I think Derek/Ashley will be like that as well... if the show hurries up and breaks them up completely.. that is).

@TaoboiIn regards to Joey/Vanessa/Doug.. my little heart is happy to see them on this week.. but I was hoping for at least one episode last week where Vanessa talks to Nicole/Dani about Joey and basically admit they were right and maybe she could have participated in the pottery therapy session.  It would have made the last two episodes make more sense with her renewed confidence and trying to get back into the drivers seat after being played by both Joey and Doug.

Those flashbacks today made me think about how dramatic things could have been if Martin's secret involved having an affair with Marcal two years ago, lol.

I enjoyed Agent Bradley on the case. Crisp, clean, smart & stealthy.

I need more Vanessa and Doug toxic relationship. I know MVJ could fill us in on all their messy history later!
