I always liked Victoria but it seems she was an outsider with the cast. The public often viewed her as frosty and a bit eccentric. She came up in a time when it was pretty much a man's world and I think she had to put on a tough exterior to succeed.
She built a comfortable lifestyle for herself with her business ventures (skincare etc..)
Very good episode today. The writers are hitting so many important beats saying goodbye to John. And the flashbacks. I loved all of them. Greg Vaughan looks fantastic and was a welcome sight. Chandler still smirks in his acting. He hasn’t overcome that acting tick. He’s looking older but that fits in with Ari being aged upward. Dee is doing tremendous work.
I enjoyed all the cliffhangers.
NEXT WEEK:
Eva is flipping the script on Leslie for a change.
Ms. Sharon is about to blow Anita's house down with her secret.
Bill collapsing.
Jacob arrests Leslie.
Previews for next week look good! I'm so glad they're giving Laura a welcome home party, and maybe they'll do more with this character. Finally some movement in the Bill storyline too.
date: Friday, May 30 | Ron Carlivati, Lynn Martin | Anthony Pascarelli
Dani and Pamela are trying to recruit men only for their modeling agency? Or at least that's how it appears to me.
Ms Dana, you're home alone and dancing with your big headphones on? I know it's an apartment building, but surely you can "clean" without them on and with the music playing from an actual stereo or your media player of choice?
Uh-oh, Eva, keep your eye on that bag! It's got your momma's secrets hidden in it!
I appreciate that Tracy is being honest, yet she pulled back from both Anita and Vernon; she knows what Sharon is thinking, even if it isn't as clear-cut as it might be.
Sharon is a nasty old bitty; I am sure we'll figure out why at some point.
We love real-world references of baristas mispelling names (or so I'm told they do). Investigator Katherine Richardson is on top of things. I love it.
Dana is venomous; I want to believe in her love for Eva, but I cannot believe she truly loves anyone but herself.
Sex with benefits? Oh, that's a new one I've never heard of before. Normally it's "friends with benefits", but this is SEX with benefits? How frank and honest.
Sharon is not playing; her foot is firmly on Anita's neck, and she won't be letting go of pressure until she wants to.
Notes:
I adore Cady McClain (Pamela), but I am wondering how this accent? Now, she's suddenly sporting some kind of British inflection? I'm really curious about this.
The buffalo chicken on the table at Uptown? Get in my stomach, immediately. They look exactly like how I enjoy my buffalo chicken, and I ain't had any in forever. It's time.
Keith D. Robinson (Ted) and Sean Freeman (Andre) have wonderful uncle-nephew chemistry. And I can see the family resemblance between them. I'm buying it.
Ambyr Michelle (Eva) continues to show up and show out with her acting and the face she gives. A true star.
