Anita is the grand dame, who dresses like Katherine Chancellor sometimes wearing lots of jewels but not always.
But Anita is much much better and current.  Anita walking around town regally with all the confidence.  Katherine didn't have that confidence because her life didn't work out.

edit to insert: Anita is joyful. Katherine had a lot of sadness.
But both could be feisty.

Dani is drinking like early Katherine Chancellor.

So what is Bill gonna be Phillip Chancellor II (Katherine's husband) but Dani won't drive him over the cliff since Dani and Bill are already divorced.

But yeah Dani the alcoholic is Katherine, so will she drive drunk?

Following the analogy then Hayley is Jill Foster, Jill, Katherine's manicurist who took Katherine's husband.
Paralegal Hayley at he law firm is like  businesswoman Jill after she started working at Jabot, so not exactly the same but...

I want Dani to get into her car drunk, drive erratically and cause Derek and Ashley to crash their car trying to avoid her and die. She goes home, passes out, not realizing she caused an accident. The story would be about her slowly realizing that it was her and trying to cover that up. You have Jacob investigating trying to find out what happened. Maybe Naomi finds out first and sabotages his case to throw him off her trail. Andre sleeping with Dani for comfort not realizing she's the one that caused him this pain. Potentially have Hayley find out and blackmail her into helping her get into better standing in the community. Oh and Id want her to keep that a secret from Bill which will cause problems in their marriage down the line

I hope they play this right. I feel like Dani is the type of person that it's hard to empathize with because she's a larger than life diva (and insanely impulsive) but the situation she is in is so devastating at it's core that I understand why she's acting like this but I don't want them to only play the campy side of it. She needs to hit rock bottom and get help at some point. And I'd like her family to acknowledge how deep her pain is.

It's not just Bill leaving her for Haley but they're also tormenting her by constantly shoving it in her face.

Everyone makes excuses for her and/or is quick to cover her tracks from her friends to her family. They need to show tough love and leave her to face the consequences of her actions. She needs to get locked up next time she commits a crime which we know she will do. She needs to get slapped with a dose of reality
