Yeah, I was hoping it wasn't one of those stupid episodes. I actually thought Giggly Heffa had really showed up in Paris to talk to Billy because she has been acting cray cray. And Sharon and Nick have been growing closer again. But as soon as Chelesa mentioned how she felt like she was falling in love with Adam again when she's been everything BUT that up until now...I figured. 

 

I tried. But once Nick started to talk in that long monologue...I was like...NOPE. Though SC was selling it.

 

Once I hit FF and saw Sally with Adam (CH looking great with the red hair), I was out. I went ahead and looked at next week's previews. 

 

Like I said earlier...the Damian storyline is the ONLY thing really happening and this past week proved that. It is giving soap. Everything else...not so much. A waste of a February Sweeps week.

 

And it also showed how much Y&R is lacking in young or any couples right now that they could not find a plausible VD episode couple to write around.

And with this episode's coda, yeah, there is nothing really going on EXCEPT the Damian storyline. We got the reveal. We got the reveal of Amy seeing Holden. We got the confrontation between Damian and his mother. We are even getting fallout scenes. And BOOM...now the twist of Audra and Holden having a past from her Tucker's Henchwoman days. Just the fact that if I am understanding correctly...so Audra has known that was not Nate's half-brother the WHOLE TIME...which will only cause drama in their relationship when it comes out. And she's on good footing with Amy, Lily, and even Devon. Part of me shakes my head. The other part can see the juiciness in that drama. A side-effect (B plot) to the A plot of Damian's arrival. 

 

I am just annoyed that all of what I mentioned above has been dished out so haphazardly in comparison to the Ian/Jordan reign of terror that took up two weeks of screen time. I would have love to see more of this mixed into that...though those were good weeks already. And yes, I'm still mad that they did not follow up from the Friday cliffhanger on this past Monday. 

 

And FINALLY!!!! Billy showed his hand with that phone call. Nice to see Nick is right for once. But tbf I knew Billy was not giving up his vendetta anyway. But who was he with on the phone? Dare I hope it's Tucker? Which would be delicious given the Audra/Holden reveal.

 

Basically though...the Damian storyline is IT right now. Everything else for me does appear to be boring.

 

Le sigh.

 

Oh, I almost forgot. Ooooo at Damian and Lily's unofficial first meeting. He already looks smitten. And goodness I am used to that look on Isaiah over on GH. lol. So three good developments at the end of the episode. This. The Audra/Holden reveal. Billy's phone call.

Omg when I realized Audra has known this whole time Holden was an imposter, I was like damnit. She’s finally not a complete pariah but the second this comes out, she’s gonna be on the outs again 🤦🏽‍♂️

IKR. At first it didn't hit me because I was just shocked that she knew him. Then I was timetabling in my head on if they were in the same scenes together. And then as they kept talking, I was...wait...does that mean...GUUUUUUUURRRRRRLLLLLLL!!!

 

She worked so hard for her inroads. And now...ugh. MESS!!!

 

 

Is Melissa Ordway back on contract, or did they just forget to erase her name when they took her off contract?  (She's listed in the credits as a contract player, although she's been "downgraded" from Abby Abbott-Newman-Chancellor-Winters to just Abby Winters.)

I don't think they've shifted her name; per her own accord, she's recurring. Unless they changed their minds?

Melissa Ordway is now listed in the closing credits as "Abby Winters".
But they've kept her in the contract section, she hasn't been moved.

They tried to give Adamson some meaty material once and I remember thinking he was awful at it. He’s perfectly fine doing surface stuff.

That's funny (and true hehe) because when he plays Michael on GH...even with meaty material...he gives Michael an edge that I don't feel CD often did.

Adamson always felt too old and too blue collar for Noah (and Michael for that matter) to me. 

Lily/Damian are working for me. I like it...a lot. 

Holden/Audra are also interesting. 

I can't believe there's something fresh and interesting on this show. It has been awhile! Forget about dioramas and redecorating the Abbott mansion and focus on this. Please. 

They actually about to pair Lily with a black man and a dark skin black man at that . Lol BTG really shook the table 

I watched the last few minutes of the episode, looking to see if they had some big cliffhanger for BTG's debut next week. Unfortunately, there was no such cliffhanger. The same boring content continued. The preview for next week's episode was just as, if not more, boring.

I have big problems with all 4 soaps, but I honestly think Y&R is the worst.

The other 3 can greatly annoy me and get me to rant, but Y&R is just flat-out boring. With GH and BOLD and DAYS, I say "I can't believe what I'm seeing and hearing." With Y&R, I say "Why am I even watching this?"

The DAYS stuff with Body & Soul was a disaster -- and Ron Carlivati deserved to be fired -- yet at least it was a trainwreck. Even a trainwreck is better than what we get on Y&R.

I wonder how much anyone at CBS and Sony cares about this show any longer. If they did, Josh Griffith would have been thrown out long ago.
