WHAT? I'd assumed this was the car accident that killed Jennifer (I think she was killed in an auto accident anyway), not an accident before Frannie was born! LOL...anyway, Bob must've been okay. whew

I assumed the same thing

It could mean so many things. Either Susan was cooperative in the sense that she was always available for interviews or other fan and publicity obligations, or that she was a great scene partner, working above and beyond to ensure chemistry and to make everything credible and/or worth watching.

The previous winner was Lydia Bruce , so I assume the same reasons were there for it to be awarded to Susan

Most Cooperative Performer: Magazine writers agree that Lydia Bruce of "The Doctors" is truly delightful to interview. Not only is she always accessible to the press, but her good humor and honesty make for consistently lively copy

Thanks for the info. Hopefully it's one that's not on my list.

I have a what if question to pose.. What if NBC picks up Scruples over Santa Barbara? Where do the Dobsons go? Do they remain with P&G, maybe go with Mary Ellis-Bunim over to Another World? What do you think a 1985/86 Dobsons AW would look like? Which 85/86 era AW elements would they keep and what elements would be used from the SB bible?

Also, do you think the Dobsons would've ever had a 2nd GL stint at some point and how would they handle the Spauldings, Roger, etc, one decade removed from writing them last? How would the Reva character look like under their pen?

Reva was on her way out by 1989. I don't see how that would have changed under the Dobsons; Zimmer wanted to leave.

I guess we could assume that the same thing that happened under Long--Bernau leaving due to health issues, then passing away, and then the show asking Zaslow to come back--would still happen and they would have had to deal with it in pretty much the same way.

I would like to think that there would have been a better chance that they would have brought Hope and Mike back onto the canvas. Maybe insisted on an Alan recast instead of sweeping him off the canvas for five years.

It's really hard to say for sure for a couple of reasons: the show had changed so profoundly since they left. Almost all the characters they worked with back then were gone. The other thing is, their style of writing seemed to change when they did SB. When they wrote GL it was pretty realistic soap writing. SB was more over-the-top. So, I don't know exactly how they would have handled GL on a second run.

What would be the timing? Would it be early enough in 1985 to prevent not only Le Soleil and all that entailed (Chris Chapin, Edward Gerard, Egypt/Arizona) but also the invention of Brittany? I like to imagine that they would have kept the creation of Victoria and the eventual introduction of the twins' father in some form. But as far as I am concerned Sharon Gabet should have been something different and I don't know what might have replaced Le Soleil.
