Joss, Trina, and Gio continue to be the most boring part of the show.

Gio should be written out. He does nothing on the show. He isn't very good acting wise too.

I always felt Cody should be bisexual. I wouldn't object to throwing him in the mix either.

Cody and Lucas? Mmmmmmmmm Sign me up!

Which means it isn't happening.😂

I don't see a lot of ride-or-die "LiRic" in of itself after the way their relationship ended up.

Elizabeth and Ric were a random pairing to me. For her to end up with that guy after Jason and Lucky, and then Zander got into the mix somehow.

Someone said Ric and Ava should get together. I would love to see that!  It would be Ric and Faith all over again, two messy toxic souls!

General Hospital (the place) is the heart of this soap, and I'm happy Patrick Mulcahey was slowly beginning bringing the heart back.

Same.

Are you sure?  Under Korte/Mulchaey, the head nurse and both co-COS were basically benched, and a doctor was written off.  Now under Korte/CVE, Liz/Terry/Portia are on more, and they've brought back Brad and Lucas, added a new doctor in Isaiah.  Looks like to me the new-old regime has brought back the GH setting.

I’m just hoping they don’t drop it completely

That’s how I see it as well.  I have been pleasantly surprised to see an increased focus on the hospital recently.

If we're talking doctors I'm not exactly weeping for the loss of Finn or that we had less of Terry, who delivers each line like she's only just discovered talking pictures.

I think the show was deeply at odds with itself during the brief PM era, so it's impossible to know what was in mind. Now that Frank has his pet writers back we're settling into the same staid equilibrium.

I just laughed out loud at this.  I never thought about it, but Cassandra James does have very stilted way of delivering her lines.  Terry's fine and all.  I just never got behind the D story of her romance with day player Yuri.  Are they still together?  Actually no one answer.  I don't care lol.

I think the distance from the hospital is a valid criticism of what we saw during Mulcahey/Korte. It wasn’t a focal point during any of Guza’s tenures until Scrubs. Sure we had characters there facing an illness, or recovering from various traumas, some second tier leads still worked there.

Compare any time Mulcahey was on the writing team to Labine’s tenure, or the beginning of the show to the end of 1981. Scrubs was only prevalent because they had made Robin a doctor and Grey’s Anatomy was popular.

New Lucas is the first time I have felt that he actually was a part of the LGBTQ+ community. His scenes with Carly definitely played as the older sister with her younger gay bro and with Joss, the gay uncle wanting to hear all about her life.

I don't think it will be dropped completely. I think it WILL still be soapy...but not as scandalous as it would have been for me.

It's gone from being completely invested and not sure what side you would be on to clear sides and none of them are pretty.

Well tbf, while the points about the co-COS is a valid one (though Portia had a part in the potential Heather story under PM as more than the clear villain she is being painted as now), the head nurse was doing the elusive Liaison dance as well as being a mom to her sons who were being set up to have a Sins of the Father like storyline as Generation Next was taking shape.

It was clear a hospital story was taking shape with the Heather storyline and that could have taken a better route than the one that it is under now with the New/Old Writers. And can we even pick on PM's route to get there to the hospital as a focus when the New/Old Writers just got there themselves after a sharp focus on the Mob again with the demise of Wagger? If anything, it appeared that PM was doing the same thing (except for him it was Pikeman specific), but alas we might never fully know?

Did another "colour correction" to add some intensity back into the soap, and whew... what we could be watching production-wise. Subtle changes, but those changes change so much.

Aiden Coming out to Lucky and Lucky loving him no matter what was amazing. The acting from both Colin Cassidy & Jonathan Jackson was so authentic.
