Making her second appearance on the Maurice Benard-hosted “State of Mind with Maurice Benard” YouTube series/podcast, soap alum Sarah Joy Brown (“General Hospital,” “As The World Turns” et al.) is the scheduled guest for the Sunday, September 1 episode, which promises to be the “most difficult publication conversation” she’s ever had.

According to an episode description, Sarah and Maurice reminisce about working together on “General Hospital,” with Brown admitting that she’s recently been re-watching scenes they shared from the time she played Carly Corinthos (1996-2001) on the daytime drama series. Additionally, they discuss relationships and Sarah shares her tricks for medication. Later, the conversation goes deeper when Sarah reveals the reason why she wanted to sit down again with Maurice on “State of Mind.”

Brown made her first appearance on “State of Mind” on the January 1, 2023 episode.

“State of Mind with Maurice Benard” is the only podcast series where fans can watch their favorite daytime stars, past and present, discuss important issues, particularly those relating to mental health. I do think it's cool she went back to State of Mind to have another conversation, especially when she's stated in the past how out-of-touch she'd been with Maurice Benard in recent years. Hoping her opening up was a release for her in the best of possible ways.

She also allegedly auditioned for what I suspect was Julia Stiles' role on Dexter (as a fellow psycho he falls in love with), and claimed GH or Guza screwed with her on that which led to her exit.
