As I was watching recap, I was wondering if they were doing that so thank you for mentioning that.

So just to be clear...they have finally gotten to the part of their filming schedule where AZ exits and Nicole is leaving with ERIC? They gave her the happy ending. Is GV gone gone? Because my Ericole heart would not at all mind that.

But with the way that today was written, it seemed like he’s leaving too. And that Ericole was finally getting their happily ever after

LMFAO.  She is NOT one of the best actresses on the show.  She's a terrible recast as Theresa, most of her run as Theresa has been slightly passable and sometimes terrible with only a couple of episodes of her entire run as Theresa where she has been good.  This is the most ridiculous recast in DAYS and daytime history.   When Theresa goest to prison, hopefully, she is off the show, and we don't get the played-out pathetic whiney Gwen back, she overran her course.  I will say her acting as Gwen was much, much better than her poor job as Theresa.

Agreed.  If not already gone, axe Emily O'Brien and IF Therea is brought back recast, or maybe Jen Lilley could return.  I would also recast Ben Weston, IF he ever returns, maybe with the original actor Justin Gaston, who was great as Chance on Y&R.

What a decline from yesterday.

If this is what we’re in store for, for the next few months, then it’s no wonder that Ron was fired.

Literally the only thing that interested me was Johnny/Chanel. I had a feeling that Johnny was gonna end up working for Body and Soul and as stupid as that is, hopefully it could lead to a good storyline for him and Chanel. Between that and the aftermath of the miscarriage, there’s a lot that they could do with them.

Maybe the new writers will bring Ciara back to Salem… as a grieving widow

And have her accuse Andrew and the ISA of having Ben killed.

OMG! Toups, you are flying in the face of the majority of the fans. Well, fans always disagree, so that's okay. But to me EOB has had two chances, both failures. Obviously she is not at all best at anything on this show, IMO.

I watched yesterday twice. RARE. My rose is clearly Nicole & Eric. My thorn is that damned soap within a soap. Put up with it for months last year. Now they want to torture us again?

Eric & Nicole told so lovingly, lots of flashbacks, nice music under it all, almost a montage, and FINALLY kisses, touches & love-making. I posted to Scott McKinsey telling him congrats on the episode. Also rare.

I definitely wanna give EOB her flowers and kudos for portraying Theresa. It wasn't easy, and heck from what it appears it wasn't her choice either, but she made a valiant effort in trying to play a vastly different character, moreso than alot of actors who have been put in her place (I'm looking at you Michael Easton and Roger Howarth). While at times I was left wondering how her predecessor would've played it, I can't say that EOB ever phoned it in.

    • Daphnee's performance very much reminded me of Anna Holbrook's on Another World when Sharlene was dealing with John and Felicia's affair. Angry but well controlled and believable. A good start for an Emmy reel. If there is one thing an evil Black mother is going to do, it is lock you out the house. Eva shouldn't have even bothered to go home.  Leslie calling Martin "Mr. President" was interesting. How much exactly does she know about the family and has someone higher up sent her to cause trouble? Anita's speech to Leslie was dignified like Geraldine Whitney (EON) or Kim Hughes (ATWT) would have gone off on somebody.
    • Thanks for posting this, fascinating read. It's clear how ambivalent Wyndham is about Justine. IMO, it reads like she agrees that the end of the storyline was bad, but reading between the lines I think she thought she was doing good work for the meat of it....which was not the case. As bad as the writing for most of that story was, it was truly made worse by her embarrassing performance. After the story concluded she kept falling back into Justine ticks, when she wasn't phoning he scenes in. Not to play Freud, but was it to tr*ll her critics?
    • I better hear "The Emmy goes to Ambyr Michelle" come Emmy time lol

    • I love this more than any theory I've seen yet
    • I wonder what Dana and Hayley's first scene will be like. Dana has fear/contempt for Bill, but I can imagine Hayley being curious to meet her.
    • Daphne was just FANTASTIC today. I know people wanted histronics and it may still come but she was pitch perfect today. As much as I like Maurice she's gonna need someone just as strong now and it's just not him
    • Today's episode was one of my favorites so far! TT's Anita standing up to Dana was perfect. I was surprised with how restrained Dani was, in some scenes, I forgot she was there. The ending "Amazing Grace" montage was brilliant. I like how Vernon's reason complements Anita's emotion. DD was terrific portraying her mixed sense of betrayal and humiliation. I liked her comment about how she condescended to Dani after her breakup with Bill, unaware that she was also married to a cheater. I am going to miss MJ as Ted and I don't agree with the criticisms of his acting. His conduct on social media is a different story. I agree that BC's Martin has come into his own. He and MM have also discovered some chemistry which allows them portray a believable couple. Eva is the most empathetic character for me. Seeing get locked out of the apartment was heartbreaking. I also liked that the writing for Kat has been much more nuanced than one might have expected just weeks ago. I liked the expression on Kat's face at the end when she was embracing Nicole. Kat has probably never seen her calm, poised mother so upset. CM's face portrayed a sense of discomfort now that the carer/child roles have been somewhat reversed. I believe now more than ever that Kat is Ted and Dana's child. Eva is Ted and Nicole's child. Dana switched them as insurance - if Bill came after her to take or harm Eva, Dana would reveal that Eva was actually a Dupree, giving her some protection. She would also be secure in the fact that her birth daughter Kat was ensconced in the privilege and security of the Dupree family. The way Dana raised Eva - "weaponizing" her instead of nurturing her as a loving mother - also aligns with this theory.
