'lo everyone!

Looks like the board is jumping again. I've been staying busy - the kid is officially walking now, so he keeps us on the run. He still has regular physical, occupational, and speech therapy, but he's doing well for the most part. We may have to have another surgery soon since his hernia looks like it may be back, but we're trying to dodge that bullet as long as possible.

Kinda meh with the show right now, and rumors of all the people on the edge of the ax (and OMG! Becky Herbst!) have me wondering if it's time to give up the show. I'll stick it out as long as Jane is there, though, and possibly NLG.

How's everyone? Here's a pic of the kidlet.

So I watched Oprah yesterday to see Tony and Genie and what they had to say, let me just say the the interview lasted a whole 7 minutes, if that! Oprah asked the usual quesations like what it was like to be on the cover of Newsweek and other magazines at the time. Genie talked about how she was sooooo young that it all went over her head. O asked if they ever dated in real life and Tony said no, that he was MUCH older than her. He talked briefly about his "affair" with Elizabeth Taylor that lasted a few years, but that was about it. O asked Genie about coming back to GH and she said something in the way of, if there was a story where Laura wasn't playing the victim or sad dove (something like that) then maybe, but since we all know Guza loves himself some poor poor Laura, seems to me she is never coming back.

Honeslty, the whole interview was stupid, no questions were asked that haven't been answered a million times over the past 30 years. I swear if you watch the 35th anniversary show you would get the exact same questions and answers.

This is a large part of the problem with those shows - they're more to showcase the host than get anything of significance. They give the fans a slight thrill but there is certainly no depth.

It's much as I figured. At least Oprah doesn't try to score humour points by making her guests the butt of her jokes like Late Night or Ellen.

    • I’m not going to take Dani seriously going off on Ted when she was willing to overlook all of Bill’s affairs in her own marriage and only got her feelings hurt when her ass was left.
    • @slick jones An episode (maybe the only episode?) of Susan Marie Snyder's Ryan's Hope stint has popped up. June 1985. Her character's name is Samantha. I'll post the video in the show's thread.
    • Damn, Leslie is going to make Eva take the fall for Laura's accident!
    • Queen Leslie did look good barging in there though, lol
    • Baby, next week looks, AWESOME. All these entanglements.

date: Friday, May 9 | Gregori J. Martin, Cheryl L. Davis | Phideaux Xavier I am loving the character of June. The swap-off of Anita and Vernon is nice. They are a very in-sync couple and seem to do well at teaming up. That's amazing. I appreciate the more level-headed conversation between Bill and Dani; it's a nice change of pacing for them. Deadbeat's attitude needs to be adjusted ASAP. I don't trust him one iota. At all. Bradley deserves better than an abusive husband. As do the children. I love that June is firm in her convictions and her stances; she won't allow anyone to penetrate them. I can tell she has a rich history in her life and hope we get to explore it. Just what Theodore needs, Andre, is alcohol. Ugh. Why not leave him alone with the consequences of his actions? Just like with Eva, Katherine is calling out the truth: Bradley is a better husband than Deadbeat deserves and is just as much a part of the Dupre family as anyone else is! Derek, you do not need a bigger apartment; what you need is to get rid of that ugly-ass chair you named and move back into your own place. Deadbeat, what do you think huffing and puffing with former Daddy is going to do? Eva is right. Disappointing. My heart genuinely hurts for her. Nicole asserting herself with Andre knowing of the affair and not telling her? Oh, that's going to cut! Oh, are we about to get Bill versus Bradley right now?! This could be a juicy-ahh showdown that I am completely here for. Wait, so Bill requested Bradley's presence? What is up his sleeve? Not Miss Dana showing up at the final hour! This is going to be a showdown. I know it is! Notes: The new hairstyle on Arielle Prepetit (Naomi) is very cute. The hotel suite is a very nice, sleek design. Almost reminds me of the Country Club's rooms from the first week. It's nice seeing a different-looking hotel type of design from what other soaps continue to show us. The food at Orphey Gene's and Uptown continues to look undeniably delicious; I'd be more inclined to eat at the former, but I'd happily visit both establishments.
    • Ohh - those previews!  I can't believe Leslie - what a mean mother. I still love the character, but she's now just a full-fledged villain at this point haha.
    • Not bad for what was supposed to be a middle of the week episode due to the preemptions lol Nice cliffhangers
    • Ugh - I hate that they have to give Dani a big showcase in every story. Girl, sit your ass down when you know you’d go back to Bill in a heartbeat if he ever gave you the time and day.
    • Ohh, Kat is mad!  She's going to tear into Thomas for that. There's Vanessa, finally, showing up for her friend. Ohhhh Dani is going to rip Ted a new one - this I can't wait to see haha. Not Leslie showing up at Nicole's house - omg!   Ugh, can't wait for Monday!!!
