The idea of the triangle doesn't bother me as much as a potential re-write of the LuNacy story. Yeah Luke is a jerk and he's missed a whole lot of opportunities to be the man Tracy needs him to be, but no one can argue the fact that they truly, deeply love each other (many try to argue it, but 7 years later the fan base is actually increasing, not decreasing). To say that Luke merely "cares" for Tracy undermines the love the two have shared. That's my point of nausea.

I guess we are going to have to wait and see, but I think Lulu is mature enough to realize what Tracy is doing and why, i'm sure she will confront her about it. If Tracy stays true to character she will change her story, and if she doesn't i'm blaming the new TPTB beacuse this is not who she is!!!

^^^ Exactly. Tracy doing idiotic, thoughtless things to hurt the person who hurt her is totally in character. Tracy trying to pin a murder rap on someone is totally OOC.

Now in Tracy's 'weak' defence, Luke did say he was going to get rid of AZ for her because he wanted Tracy happy, and with all the other lies Luke has told her, how can she be sure telling her he didn't kill AZ was the truth. So there's the out clause. Tracy never said she witnessed anything.

As you say, hopefully Lulu understands this completely and will figure out what really happened. Whatever happens, I hope to God TPTB don't end LuNacy on this point. I will be more than pissed.

I thought summer too with air conditioning, but I don't keep it on very low. I also thought it was from my television since I have a music channels on there and keep it on throughout the day since I've been off from work, but my dad said air conditioning was more logical.

About today... For all Tracy knows, Luke could have killed Anthony, right? Not wise to say he did without knowing for sure, and even if she did know for sure, I doubt she would turn in someone she cares about, but I guess love and rejection of love make people do stupid things...

Wardobe: Okay, she seriously needs to tuck in the pink thing. It's not supposed to hang out like that. /shallow

So since I haven't been watching in the few months. I have a few questions.

Has Luke led Tracy to believe they should be back together?

And has she wanted to be back with him before AZ died?

And I hope these writers understand that LuNacy don't just "care" for each other. TPTB make it seem like Tracy is annoying Luke. As if he hasn't been married/on & off to her for years.

    • It pisses me off that the other Duprees are making this incident all about them as well. They are playing a family of victims, acting as if Ted cheated on all of them. They should be supportive, but not like this. I have a family that makes anything that happens to me personally all about them, and seeing the same thing on TV is rage-inducing.
    • There are the makings of good Emmy reels in these past couple of episodes, but the industry is still going to favor even the most mediocre stories and performances on the older soaps. And with the pressure from the government over race I can see the academy shutting out Beyond The Gates to avoid criticism from the administration and the far right media.
    • oh, definitely! It's too bad she hit the start of a rough transition period for the show. She shines, but she's stuck with bad story and some (if not exactly bad) not great co-stars. Uh, who did Maureen O'Sullivan play? (Sigh--and only if I'd understood exactly who and how wonderful Teresa Wright was in '86) God, the summer of '84 was literally one event after another. Kim's outfit alone must've been worth a small fortune. And poor Maeve. She looks so uncomfortable. Rebecca Hollen told a story on Locher Room where Maeve dropped the f-bomb during the shooting of it. For some reason, she wasn't being listened to, and had just had enough. As a producer, I would've been holding my breath as my pregnant actress kept walking around strange and undoubtably uneven sets in that long skirt.
    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story. Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role. These episodes aren't consecutive, but if you ever have time, they are worth a watch. They are bits and pieces from January and April of 1979 - April in and out of prison, her past calling to her via her psychic powers (and the suicide of Miles' wife Denise, who had murder framing in mind). April 1979 has the end of Winter Austen (such a fantastic soap name). I don't want to drop a ton of links but you can find playlists on Youtube.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
