The screening ended, will post non-spoiler thoughts later. We’re at the panel stage.

I admit I like that music in the Generations open, but I think it really misses the mark in not highlighting the cast.

I loved the theme music from Generations too.

The opening shown at the screening for the first episode  is longer and features more cast members.

Wonder if that's for the previews/premiere online, because Soaps She Knows reported there will be several cuts of the opening.

Seriously, y'all, it can't be more terrible than this:

Cheers, the daytime soap opera opening iteration. I never watched the show because I was too young, but when someone shared this opening here on SON not too long ago I couldn't believe this was the opening, not just for a soap opera, but for a soap opera that's supposed to have been cutting edge with its inclusion of Black families and characters.

This is by no means taking away from the show itself and what it represented, but that opening literally had me not surprised it got canned so quickly. We're talking about an era where even a theme song could make or break your show. These days, openings are 15 seconds (more if we're lucky). Back then, themes were EVERYTHING!

That's interesting because the cut I saw from the first ___ episodes (I didn't say anything!) shows the same opening with 12 actors. Unless they opted to extend it with more people for when the show premieres on TV?

Sheila says something big will happen at the end of April.

That's because they are now 3 months ahead. Just said. I love that we know, at least for now, what their tape to air timing is.

What do you mean? I didn't see a thing. Perhaps you are mistaken.

Why don't we have an emoji for nudge? 😉😜😉

At best, it was NBC overplaying GENERATIONS' historical importance within the genre.  At worst, it was sabotaging a new show (that only certain people at the network really believed in) before it even had a chance.

I'm calling it! Anita is the one with a long-lost son, either put up for adoption or believed to have died. No way she just has two daughters. No spoiler. No inside info. Pure gut feeling.
