I saw that extended trailer and ooo. LOVED it. So much intrigues.

 

Dani's man oozes power and menace...a match for KM's Dani's manic energy. 'Don't try me.' Indeed.

 

And whoever wrote 'And now you have to deal with the inconvenient consequences. You see how that works.' (and Daphne's delivery of it-superb) has a fan in me. That miss that kind of dialogue. 

 

And there's also a secret and attempted murder...a wedding where the crowd wore black...AND extended family members, too.

 

So ready!!!!

Same here; the Duprees are so well cast.

When this show finally kicks in and moves mightly along, I wonder who will be wearing the "mask"? My bet? Dr. Ted, the "perfect" husband.

 

I wonder if it's going to be short scenes a la GH or they'll take time to play things out?

Hoping for a mix and they go for longer scenes when called for.

So many things to watch for. Characterization, acting, pacing, plotting,direction, sets, lighting, costumes.

We are going to have A LOT to discuss.

As I said in the trailer thread:

I like everyone cast in this soap. And I like that it has diversity.

I'm just afraid in the current climate, with current push back against said diversity and resentment towards the wealthy (hello, Luigi Mangione!) that this is not the most opportune time for a soap surrounding both. But I sincerely hope against hope that it thrives. Daytime needs a resurgence.

IIRC, they all live in Fairmont Estates (per breakdown casting announcements), and Fairmont Crest is the country club (per press release/Soap Opera Digest), unless Fairmont Crest is also considered the estate grounds, as well.

Thank you! I haven't read the breakdowns. I am trying not to know too much. I think the name is just a nod to soap history.
