After predicting it would be a month before we’d see Lily/Daniel/Heather again, I was wrong by it was only 2 days lol. Of course I imagine we now won’t see them for another month when we have a scene of Billy telling Devon & Lily “I told you so” when Omegasphere underperforms without Daniel.

And Devon and Abby compared themselves  to Heather/Daniel with the way they hurt Chance & Amanda…LOL!

Actual all of Wednesday was FF material.

I was an avid viewer in the 1990s, and now just watch clips of the highly promoted stories, but I have two questions.

  1. When Nicki, Victoria, and Claire were talking at the ranch about Claire's dream, what room was that supposed to be?  It had white sofas, and it didn't look like the ranch living room that I recall.
    1. Am I the only one who still thinks Claire is kind of creepy?
    2. What happened to Cole after he appeared at Jordan's house?
  2. Does anyone in Genoa City still just sell makeup?

The original Newman ranch was burnt down 10 or so years ago and rebuilt with a bland set that was pretty much universally derided. A few years ago we stopped seeing that set and a new smaller room took it's place. There is no longer a front entrance or staircase, just this sitting room.

Honestly...I thought...given the fact that JG does as most people say here story focused on for 3 weeks, vanishes, may/may not come back. I thought Lily/Daniel/Heather was done, done.  So I was happy to see Lily vs Heather. Though she probably should have slapped her. And Heather...NO. Ever since Heather decided to stay in town permanently, she has been giving subtle looks. Lily has every right to call her out. And they all work together. See? There's still potential for mess. But since Daniel and Lily broke up as soon as she made it back to town, I'll be shocked if JG mines the potential of them all working in the same building.

And I shook my head at Jack. Ponytails. Ashley has PONYTAILS, Jack. At least, Jack's brain was not totally out to lunch. He at least found it odd. But he really should have known something was wrong with Ashley because she had PONYTAILS...something Ashley NEVER has. At least...as I said before...the Abbotts are getting clues that something is wrong with Ashley. And As I also said before, I love watching ED perform. But that moment of 'dumbing down the characters' really rubbed me the wrong way.

Jordan is cray cray. And I love her for it.

I continue to love the growing Sally/Audra friendship.

That Giggly Heffa. smh. Pathetic.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
