Members 1974mdp Posted January 31 Members Share Posted January 31 I think US soaps tend to be pretty bad about not cutting dead weight when it comes to characters and freshening up the canvas with new characters to develop brand new stories. I think British soaps are much better at this. Which characters currently airing do you think have gone past their current usefulness? It doesn't mean that they couldn't come back in the future, but they really have no current purpose on their show, are just simply played out, or have been written into a corner. For me... B&B - Liam, Katie, Paris (is she still really on?), Thomas, Sheila Y&R - Adam, Sally, Phyllis, Chelsea, and perhaps even Billy.
