I hope not.  I really want to see him join Michele Val Jean at BTG.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Heather Tom takes over the hair and makeup as well, lol.

My dream BTG writing staff: MVJ, Susan Dansby, Michelle Patrick and PM.

I don't know where that's from but I think people who watch credits here would've noticed him name.  That screenshot is probably from when Mulcahey was still with B&B and they were in Italy.

It’s not common - when the late Meg Bennett wrote for Y&R and still acted on the show, Bill Bell made it clear she couldn’t write or contribute to material involving her character to avoid the conflict of interest issue. Brad Bell may have a similar arrangement with Heather Tom.

I think Rowell wanted to specifically write for characters in Dru’s orbit or advocate for her character or those closely tied to Dru. That would have been a clear conflict of interest if she was on the writing staff, IMO. Granted, she did contribute ideas like the Devon’s foster care storyline, but she wasn't involved in the writing of the actual material.

They used to have Tim Stickney (R.J. Gannon) and to a certain extent Erika Slezak doing some quiet day to day rewriting on OLTL under the table, IIRC. Both discussed it openly in the oral history. The conflict of interest was cited to them so they simply didn't take pay for it (unfairly, IMO). Something similar happened decades before with Ellen Holly, who at least once or twice pitched long story (like the Jack Scott saga) that they used but gave her no pay for for the same reasons.
