Members VelekaCarruthers
Griffith's Assistant, Madeleine Phillips, wrote the script for Tue, May 7 show (posted today on Youtube). And it's a terrible script. I can't believe it made it on air. But with Griffith, new lows all the time... Here's her extensive bio LOL Literally, the secretary is writing the show. https://www.linkedin.com/in/madeleine-phillips/ Edited May 7 by VelekaCarruthers
Members LeClerc
Griffith sure hasn't been subtle about getting the strike writing team back together ...

Members BetterForgotten
So, 2 months into this new regime at GH, and all PM/EK have done is add back Chris Van Etten as a breakdown writer?
Members Contessa Donatella
Since we saw his "re-hire" show first time today in credits, I wonder if we will see any other new name "hires" in the next few days! They needed to replace 2 breakdown & Korte's prior position. Surely (I hope) she's not still wearing two hats!!!
Members Khan
Something tells me that was more Frank Valentini's doing (but I could be wrong!).
Administrator Toups Posted Tuesday at 09:58 PM Author Administrator Share Posted Tuesday at 09:58 PM Yes, that's a pretty good assumption. He's worked with Frank since the early 2000's. It makes sense that he's back as a BDW. Would not be surprised if Dan returns as the 5th BDW.
Members Contessa Donatella
Could be. I know that at one point they thought Dan was going to sue. No idea if he did or not. Figure if he had that it would have been known, though.
Members JAS0N47
FIRST POST-WGA STRIKE EPISODE AIRED TODAY (MAY 17), WITH SCRIPT WRITER BEING CREDITED...REST OF "DAYS" WRITING TEAM TO RETURN TO CREDITS IN COMING WEEKS... Today (May 17) was the first episode written by a "Days" script writer (Sonja Alarr) since December 1 (the last script written before the WGA strike started in May 2023). Look for the rest of the "Days" writing team to return to the credits in the coming weeks.
Members allmc2008
I asked an AI site on who wrote DOOL during the strike. Says Steve Burton, Bradford Anderson, and Laura Wright https://iask.ai/?mode=question&q=Who+wrote+Days+of+our+Lives+during+the+writers+strike
Members Contessa Donatella
Very amusing. I've been told that Sally Sussman was in charge & that Shari Anderson was writing on the team. I have no confirmation. I'll be sure & see what AI thinks & get back to you!!! AI replies: Yes, during the writer's strike in 2023, Sally Sussman was in charge at DAYS and Shari Anderson was writing on the team. Other writers who worked with Sally Sussman and Shari Anderson at DAYS during the 2023 writer's strike included Mark Smith, Jennifer Johnson, and Chris Whitesell. So, what do we think about this?!!
