Jack/Victor crossing paths at Society. I'm sorry but I can't buy these two as frenemies, after all Victor has done. It seemed like Eric was reading his lines off the counter. Maybe not, but his halting delivery makes it appear so.

Very contrived having Nikki turning to Jack with sobriety issues.

Chance/Summer look good together. Connor was fine in that suit.

Demerit points to Audra for a backless dress in the office.

I focus a lot on the visuals because the stories are not interesting.

One thing I applauded from vet director Sally MacDonald was the Society and GCAC scenes utilized tight shots so the lack of other customers was not noticeable. Quite effective.

However when Esther was serving Nikki and Diane at CL there was one extra who was not really in camera and the rest of the place was empty. Looks crap.

There's no doubt in my mind -- Eric Braeden is definitely reading his lines off the counter, off the desk, off of the chess board, off of whatever.

They do look good together. However, Summer still reads as young/immature for Chance.

Of course, I'm saying that while also acknowledging that Chance is kind of a himbo who doesn't have many deep thoughts rattling around in his head.

I do the same, Paul --  on Y&R more than on the other soaps.

I know I am being nitpicky but Sharon used customer and client interchangeably. Is her company a public facing company or are they providing software to companies? The last time I watched, I had the impression that her company provided software to other companies, rather than individual consumers. Just wondering.

That set is badly in need of a makeover.

Nice to see Esther-the show needs those kind of talk to characters. And Esther isn't being presented as a ditz.

honestly, with better writing and improved production values, Y&R is still viable.

Maybe if Mulcahey can work some magic at GH they might show Griffith the door. And get a new EP.

The floor plan is fine but the decor is not. The jukebox, robot and creepy puppet wall deco in the bin. A contemporary makeover like any viable business would take on after decades.

Especially when they expect us to believe wealthy characters like Nikki would stop in for  a coffee. The place needs to go upmarket. Serve casual meals at night so it would be another option for characters to dine at . Less formal than Society or GCAC.

I imagine he would've done a good job with the tribute to John... but I also worry that he would've made Leo a part of it  His face is completely bandaged, similar to how he looked when he first came into Days. And the voice sounds a little similar, but you can tell that it isn't Drake.
    • Leslie was crying today after Eva left the apartment.
    • I don't believe Leslie loves Eva at all.  I think Leslie has been faking her crying.  For Leslie, Eva is just a pawn in her scheme.
    • I stated a while back about Andre being designated as a playboy. That's really not how he's being portrayed. A playboy is generally the male equivalent of a whore. So he should be acting more like Vanessa, having sex with everyone he can find. But he sleeps only with Dani and pines for Ashley.
    • I like the middle-of-the-road characters, though. Like Bill himself... He is more a complicated Roger Thorpe than a Stefano DiMera or Helena Cassadine. Bill, like Roger, is never a cartoon. He loves Naomi and Chelsea just like Roger loved Blake and Hart. That being said, Leslie is headed for DiMera/Cassadine territory, and I love Trisha as much as the next viewer, but I getting tired of Leslie now. The only time she is really tolerable is with Eva. I don't understand why she keeps pushing her away when it is obvious that she still loves her deeply. Obviously, there is more to the story. I would rather they build on the backstory of Leslie/Eva/Alan (once the blowback from the anniversary party plays out).
    • I would argue most of the audience is somewhere in the middle on Dani and her bullshít, which is how it should be. But people loving or hating her, or doing both at the same time, works too.
    • Sometimes I think GH forgets it's Friday lol.  Today's episode was fine, but a letdown after the rest of the week.
    • I'm not the person this was asked of, but I can answer with my opinion. Dani had my sympathy at first, but as time went on, without her moving on, she became quite tiresome. I mean, in order to sway viewers' favor away from the wronged party, and toward favoring the homewrecker, says a lot about Dani's character and her portrayal on the canvas. Please note, this is not a swipe at the writers or Karla. I think the Dani we've been getting is exactly who we were meant to get. See, what I love about Michelle and her team of writers is the way they write characters that are well fleshed out. Dani is not a one-dimensional victim, as she would look like on paper. She is annoying, opinionated, far from accurate in her thoughts and actions, manipulative, obsessed, and has no inhibitions. She seems angry about the circumstances of being cheated on, but we then learned that she didn't care about the same scenario in the past, as long as Bill stayed with her. She is pissed because she was abandoned. Not only that, she was traded in for a younger model orphan, presumably from the wrong side of the tracks. Dani's parents convinced her that her name makes her special. That is why she doesn't understand how anyone could be more appealing than her. We also heard her cry about giving up her career because Bill wanted her to and he wanted her to focus on having his children. However, Bill tried that ish with Hayley and she wasn't having it. And, even now that Hayley is expecting, Bill hasn't mentioned her giving up work, throughout the pregnancy or afterward. Could Bill have simply suggested that Dani give up modeling and she just quickly folded for her man because she has no backbone (and now she blames him)? Or, did Bill really coerce her? Again, there are no black and white characters, so who knows where the truth lies? So, it's not the fact that Dani has reacted to this situation that makes her annoying. It is HOW she reacted and continues to act. She needs to take a page out of Nicole's playbook and calm down. But, she can't. That's not who she is. And, that is what makes Dani a polarizing character. For some of us, our sympathy has run out. Others are 100% behind her antics. That is the paradox the writers purposely created and it works like a charm, because she is neither a villain nor a heroine.
    • I haven't been watching, so I have a stupid question: How have they been showing John on camera in the hospital?  Is his face bandaged or something?  And how about his voice?  Does the voice sound like Drake?  It seems that viewers are accepting the situation, so it must be playing as believable.  Am I correct about that?
