The questions are valid, but it's pretty clear why it is different.

Krista has spoken in a way that cannot be ignored. She hasn't said that... yeah it was parting ways... Like some other people did.. no,  she said it's strange how it all happened and how she was dropped pretty much after going on a new season shoot.

Do you people understand how vile this is? Imagine your boss including you in the new year photo to just eliminate you a day after. And without any explanation.

And.

After an Emmy nomination.

And.

After telling the press how he will go into another direction with your character.

And most importantly let me repeat, Krista is talking about it to major media, including People magazine. It smells of mistreatment and something bad, so it's important to talk about it and not let it die off.

On the morning of December 15 (same day as Emmys) the B&B instagram posted a video of B&B actors wishing their coworker B&B Emmy nominees good wishes.

(The Y&R ig account did the same with Y&R actors wishing their coworker Y&R nominees good wishes).

In each case, one or two actors were chosen/volunteered/allowed to speak encouragement to a nominee.

In this video Matt Atkinson was the one to wish Krista Allen good wishes.  I was wondering why he seemed so serious, now we know why.

I was editing my post while you posted. I added that in each case, only one or two actors were chosen/volunteered/allowed to speak encouragement to each nominee.  (the same was true for the Y&R video).  I don't know if more would have spoken up for Krista if given the opportunity.

There are rumours that they wanted her for recurring and wanted her to only have 3 lines in an episode or something like that. I think one of the articles said that. I don't know if it's true or not. But it sounds pretty offensive to offer that to your Emmy nominated star.

I know that at least one article said that they offered her recurring & she declined. (The same was said about or by Rena with the same result.) I did not read anything about "3 lines" etc. I wonder if recurring status means something different at B&B than it does at either DAYS or GH. Plenty of people work on a recurring basis & always have. There's no question, though, that going from contract to recurring is in fact a demotion.

Very nice. Thank you.

    • And of course there was this 60 Minutes interview where her emotions overcame her for a bit while talking about this whole ordeal.

    • I'm furious that hack new producer is bringing back the wrong Ben Mitchell. Just bring back Harry Reid for goodness sake. Pleased about Zoe.
    • I've said it before, and I'll say it again (and again): CBS should have extended Angela Lansbury the courtesy of going out on HER terms, not theirs.  The network, Universal and Corymore all should've sat down together before the start of the last season and discussed how to ensure that MSW would go out with a bang.  Leave it on Sunday nights, of course, but really pull out some stops: big name guest stars (Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor immediately spring to mind), more on-location/international shoots, maybe convince Peter S. Fischer and William Link to return as consultants, you name it.  But give her and the show the dignity they were due. I do, too, but that's why I love her so much.  She had every right to call him and the rest of the network out, but didn't, because she was simply too classy to do that.  God bless her.
    • Its not right or safe but I notice I dont always lock my doors either   BTW, I only see that happening in Dani's house, and I assume her kids have the key.  Othr than that we've seen Dani just walk into Bill's house but that's been an actual plotpoint

And I’d love to see that beautiful smile a lot more There’s just one problem… that should’ve been sent packing with Uncle Ron
    • Yet another reason some of the characters need servants.  Since some of the sets do not include front doors, servants could answer the off-screen door and escort guests into the living room(s).
    • I remember them showing a map of Michigan during one of Rachel's adventures, and you are probably correct here.  But the map may have been used in 1978, when Sven kidnapped Rachel and characters were searching for her. They had no idea Sven had hidden her right there on the Cory estate.  So that's just another possible sighting of the infamous map.
    • The one thing that drives me nuts about this show is that all these wealthy people never lock their doors and everyone just walks in without even knocking.  I live out in the boonies with no neighbors close by, but I always have my doors locked day or night!
