Ok, how the [!@#$%^&*] was there no follow up with Eric and Sloan? A baby dies and it’s just like whatevs??? That’s just bad writing, bad production, bad everything.

Today also had to be a Jamey episode. Everyone was a bigger scumbag than usual or just horny. Dimitri, Tripp and Stefan look hot but that was pretty much the only good parts of today. I also didn’t need Kristen, Gwen and Leo’s bullshit memories of Victor.

And Dimitri giving Leo a BJ? That poor man. I mean, it’s Leo.

Again, I’ll never understand how a team that produced an episode like Friday’s can produce an episode like today’s. Thank God Jamey’s gone. I just hope he doesn’t come slithering back when Tyler Perry inevitably fires his horrible, no talent ass. #JanetPlease

Janet please fire Greg Rikaart!!

Leo is horrible. The character really is a disaster. Probably the worst character ever created.

Yeah. Dude’s got some kind of obsession with rape, and with power and control. And humiliating people. And misogyny. Pretty much every toxic trait you can think of, and the writing clearly shows it.

I’m gonna say it.

Its at the point where I think Leo is a disgrace to the LGBTQ+ community. It’s not even all the stereotypes. He’s just a horrible person and a horrible character. It’s almost like he’s not even human.

He definitely doesn’t represent me.

It’s funny: RC said that, working under Labine and crew at OLTL as an assistant, he saw all of the network notes on scripts, etc. and absorbed key takeaways on what they would and wouldn’t approve well before he wrote for the show, which gave him an advantage, especially as he rose to HW. Not absolving him of responsibility, but his work is telling of how these networks see these shows. His stories of rape just sail through…

Well, DAYS had the reputation as the rape soap long before RC came along. And, BITD NBC pressured their soaps to not only include but to highlight violence against women. Some habits are hard to break. Still misogyny, rapemance, gay stereotyping, these are all fair criticisms of his Writing philosophy. And, also the man has no boundaries. If something in a story CAN go too far, with Ron it will.

Today's episode was major suckage, beginning and ending with The Leo Show.

The attempts at camp and sharp gay humor are a FAIL. The attempts to make Leo an object of lust and desire are a FAIL. The attempts to make any of this entertaining or progressive for daytime are a FAIL.

It is breathtaking that Carlivati (or Giddens or whoever) believes that we want to see Dimitri give a BJ to Leo.

Me neither, but tbf, in some cases, that’s more on me than him

You’d think those both of them would have progressed over time, especially since he used to love to call people out on Twitter for the same reason.

And don’t even get me started on Jamey Giddens

Peter Porte really is being wasted, literally in every way.

    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
    • It does seem cheap and lazy for this show to have just one family. Passions was heavily criticized but it was nicely structured with a total of four families.
