You can't help but wonder how Liam would have reacted to all this Finn/Sheila business if his marriage to Hope had been solid....

It would actually have made for a better story if Liam and Hope were still together when all this happened. Liam could still be fearful for his daughter's (and Steffy's) safety and his saviour complex kick in. That would give more credibility to Hope's turn towards Thomas.

LMAO Taylor dragged Ridge and basically said FInn is the man he could NEVER be. I love Taylor!

He'd whine but Hope would knock sense into him knowing Finn would never deliberately put his family in danger. Hope, even though I don't care for her much, was the voice of reason for that loser

8-9

Yeeeah that was a letdown. After that awesome ending of Finn doing his best RM Ridge's moment on Liam, the following episode was soooo 'the writers propping up Liam' to me and I was just rolling my eyes. And to add insult to injury, Ridge wanted to go and judge Finn, too? RIDGE. GTFO.

JMW...even when she's upset at her man...will ALWAYS give good bitca. And I LOVED it. Her at work and everyone asking her questions about Finn and Sheila. Just chef's kiss.

And then Liam proving Finn right by making that play on Steffy. Just...UGH.

Liam the Stalker was again on today's show. Why does Steffy think she's safe at her grandfather? Liam comes and goes day and night without any security. The door is unlocked.

A Liam the Stalker tribute!! Press play!!

I love all the talk about the extra security around Eric's house, yet people just walk right into the house over and over with the front door obviously unlocked.

Liam is coming off soooooo creepy in this storyline. His marriage to Hope ended what...three weeks ago...and he's pledging everlasting love to Steffy now. I'm so over both Liam AND Ridge ping-ponging between the same two women. It all comes off very misogynistic.

    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
    • I had a situation last week where I could watch the new episode on Paramount Plus on my laptop, but it wasn't even listed on my TV as an option.

    • I'm trying to think whether AW had anything remotely resembling that once Steve was killed off and Alice left a widow. So many young love stories were wrapped up either by marrying and leaving town or marrying and killing off one party. Maybe they acted in the final year as if Vicky and Jake had been that couple all along, but they both had better other mates along the way and also Jake was actively hostile to Vicky at too many points without any subtext of caring about her.
