This maybe an unpopular observation, but it is troubling to me to see social media accounts react to this story from an egocentric point of view.

E.G. - "I'm not going to watch this show!", "I'm going to sign a petition!", "I want the actors to address my concerns!", "Why won't the production listen to my outrage!"

It just makes me think, "this isn't about you" and "it didn't happen to you."  I understand that it triggers people in similar circumstances in their workplace.  But, I believe fans should try to be self-aware enough to be sympathetic without being performative for the purpose of engagement.

To me, it is disgraceful to the people who were actually harmed to try and make this situation about one's self.  It is not the ethical duty of the audience to boycott the production, because that will also hurt the creatives.  It is not the burden of those who were harmed to make public statements in order to mollify the viewers.  And, nobody outside the executives is personally responsible to make sure that justice prevails.  In fact, in my experience, we live in an unjust universe where everyone is not always punished for their behavior, and that is a reality that we cannot change.

This is an awful story that happened to people who we like and admire, but some fans on social media need some distance, in order to find a more respectful response.

Respectfully, did you lose a word? You didn't mean to say, "some* of the fans on social media ..." Or do you actually mean to indict all fans, even the ones who are being respectful & are being supportive even in the  heat of the moment?

Well, there is much we may never know for sure unless someone writes the book of it! But what I heard was that it was definitely Ari Zucker. We have to take what is heard with a grain of salt.

And @Gina90

Someone at the studio who absolutely knows let me know that "Try to remember when you were young and beautiful." was NOT said to Ari. Now they declined to tell me who it is but that's okay. I appreciate quite enough that they made a point to tell me I had wrong info. That was really great of them.

Now stand by for people to come point & say LOOK WRONG. After you pay attention to them you'll be free to continue your weekend.

Days Of Our Lives’ Pauses Production Amid Controversy Over Albert Alarr Investigation

A rep for Peacock confirmed to Deadline that production on the long-running daytime drama has been suspended beginning Monday, July 30. For the moment, it’s for one week, I hear.

❝ As Deadline reported, about 30-40 people — primarily women — were interviewed in the investigation, which probed accusations of inappropriate comments and physical contact, including groping and forceful kissing, and revealed a toxic environment on the show that allegedly had been fostered by Alarr for years. ❞

Is it just me or is it interesting that this latest came from a Peacock rep & not from Ken!!

Okay, been talking to someone who periodically knows behind the scenes true stuff at DAYS & I have 3 things to pass on.

1. Alarr's been doing this stuff for 8 years.

2. His casting couch  is legendary.

3. He is why we lost "Allie" so abruptly.

I'm just sick at heart.

    • It is DAYS, Vivian Allamain's right hand man, Ivan (pronounced EE-Vahn) Same  guy is the red head fortune teller. (We are on a roll now with ID thee drag queen!) WOW, I do not have any memory of Evil Rex doing this. GOOD fory ou!!!
    • Okay, draglover, sorry I have now found a blonde in drag. Just didn't see them before. I had to watch it very slowly. Anyway, it's DAYS - Vivian - Ivan again, blonde this time, red head looking like a fortune teller in the other pic. Same actor/character/show.

Wull, hey, is we a team all of a sudden or whut?!!!
    • The blonde drag is also Ivan, I believe. The long straight black wig is Peter Barton when he was playing Eddie on Sunset Beach.
    • Sorry, I don't know the non-AW ones. In addition to the 2x Cass disguised himself as Krystle (1984 to hide from Tony Jones, 1994 investigating Felicia's disappearance), there was one occasion in October 1987 where Cass imposter Rex Allingham dressed as a woman and, claiming to be Nicole's Aunt Blanche, disrupted her date with another man. (At the time I don't think the audience yet knew that it wasn't Cass.)
    • THANK YOU SO MUCH. If there was any way we could sticky this post or make it so we don't forget where it is. I'm going to bookmark it for sure! AND WOW... Season 15 - nearly a whole month of skipped episodes. LOL.
    • JFP was only as strong as her writers, which is why her output got worse and worse when she decided she was the only writer anyone needed. They could have easily had a decent short-term story with Lando - maybe cast him as a terminal patient at Cedars, or a long-lost Bauer or Reardon who would leave town after his story is done and possibly return at a later date with a recast. He might become close to Ed and Michelle, similar to how Ed had taken Kelly under his wing years earlier. Maybe he could have been tied to Maureen's death, somehow - maybe we'd learn, after he ingratiated himself to everyone in Springfield, that he accidentally ran Maureen off the road during the storm. And when he realizes this he would, in shame, leave town, maybe leaving some Springfield lady devastated if they were about to get married (this could have worked with a better Mindy recast, or maybe a brand new character).
    • Notes I've made of skipped or faulty YouTube episodes are (I'll put in brackets the faulty ones, the rest are skipped episodes), that would be amazing if they could be replaced by higher quality Netherlands copies when they become available:

S13: 3170, 3172, 3181 (faulty), 3203 (faulty), 3223 (faulty), 3255, 3278 (faulty), 3345, 3361 (faulty) S14: 3399, 3455 (faulty), 3479 (faulty), 3509 (faulty), 3555 (faulty end credits), 3580, 3600 (faulty), 3613 (faulty) S15: 3658 (faulty), 3667, 3668, 3669, 3670, 3674, 3678, 3679, 3681, 3682, 3684, 3685, 3686, 3690, 3692, 3694, 3696, 3697, 3699, 3709 S16: 4058, 4059, 4109 S17: 4137, 4194, 4262, 4284, 4358, 4362, 4371 S18 so far skipped: 4450, 4451. There may be further S18 episodes to replace in English if there are any further skips on YouTube, as many episodes from this season are just in German in the vault, and if they skip those, then we probably have to wait for an eventual Netherlands airing unless someone currently has them in English (currently the German ones needing to replace to full English for S18 are: 4477, 4485, 4486, 4492, 4493, 4494, 4497, 4514, 4515, 4518, 4520, 4522, 4523, 4524, 4526, 4531, 4538, 4541, 4575, 4612 - hopefully YouTube will not skip these, and they won't be a problem to fix). Also, jumping ahead a bit to future seasons, but does anyone have full English speaking copies of any of 4852, 4897, 5275, 5308, 5590, 5591, 5594 (as these are not in full or at all in English in the vault as far as I can tell)? Many thanks if you do! A million thank yous to all Angels helping out with these.

    • I found the reference in the AWHP synopses -- it was 1995 but not directly related to the loanshark.
