Kelly Ripa, Ryan Seacrest, Live with Kelly & Ryan

Although Ryan Seacrest closed out his six-year run as co-host of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” today, April 14, the weeks leading up to his departure have seen the morning show remain the most watched and highest-rated daytime syndicated talker in all key ratings measures, including Households, Total Viewers and Women 25-54.

During the week of March 27-31, 2023, the most recent week available for syndicated ratings, “Live with Kelly and Ryan” ranked a solid number one in Households (1.6 rating), Total Viewers (2.320 million) and Women 25-54 (0.5 rating) for the 29th week in a row.

Adding all daytime syndicated and network talk shows together, “Live” was the week’s highest rated in Households (tied with “The View”) and Women 25-54. This marked the show’s 45th consecutive week as syndicated TV’s number one daytime talk show in Households, including eight ties. Overall, the chatfest has ranked as the number one daytime talk show for 64 straight weeks in Women 25-54.

Additionally, “Live with Kelly and Ryan” stands as this season’s highest-rated daytime talk show – network or syndicated – in both Households (1.6 rating, tied with “The View”) and Women 25-54 (0.6 rating). Further, among all syndicated talk shows, “Live” has been number one for the third year in a row in both Households (1.6 rating) and Total Viewers (2.314 million), and is the number one daytime talk show overall for the fourth consecutive year among Women 25-54 (0.6 rating).

When comparing all daytime and late-night entertainment talk shows, “Live” tops the charts in all key measures, including Households (1.6 rating), Total Viewers (2.314 million) and Women 25-54 (0.6 rating).

I'm interested in how few people watch Live's YT clips.

It could be a function that 64% of the audience is over 35.  But, Sherri and Jennifer Hudson's clips get more viewers every day, by a wide margin.

Here's Wednesday's most watching Live clip

Sherri had 16 times more views

And J Hud got 20 x's more views

The celebs were equally famous, and their stories were equally banal, so they were not driving views.  But, it is interesting to see how a low-rated show could still make some revenue from YouTube.

Even today's goodbye to Ryan clip got 20% fewer views than the Nikki Bella clip on J Hud.
