Thank you @Vee and @P.J.

As far as I know only the Cassadines and Laura knew.

Can I just say it’s effing wild that the show with the most famous rape survivor had her go on to have a child as a product of rape with a completely different man? Both of whom went on to be her husband (with the Stavros marriage being forced and not at all legally binding of course)!

I will say GH does a good of not invalidating what we saw play out on screen. Nik’s birth fits in the timeline and do does Trina’s if you account for the sliding scale of soap opera time.

Yeah, it is WAY effing wild! I'm sure it is part of the reason that Genie would speak up & say that she's sick of talking about it.

But you make a good point that they do keep these twisty-turny plot events sorted out. I do not know how sometimes but ya gotta love em for it.

Brooke Kerr does look amazing especially in her wedding grown. I also enjoyed the wedding ceremony/reception and how good the sets looked. I also liked that they had a lot of people at the wedding including several extras. It made it look more realistic.

Loved all of this about the wedding! The Costume Designer said he took a chance with the dress for Brooke & boy was it ever a success! He said the dress is a bias cut slip dress designed to show off curves. That it did!

The Nikolas reveal and its timeline were meticulously plotted out. The scenes where Laura tells Luke all about exactly where, how and when she learned her mother was 'dead' in the '80s and that it had been attributed to the Cassadines to silence her re: her other son were intricately done.

Taggert was involved with several women during his time on the show, including Dara and Hannah Scott, Roy's daughter and Sonny's FBI sidepiece (and Mrs. Jonathan Jackson). Anything with Portia has to have happened after he left town/was reassigned to a remote location, IIRC how they framed it onscreen.

Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me but weren't Taggert/Portia/Trina living in Portland, Oregon during that time? Or somewhere on the other side of the country?

They may have mentioned that more recently, I wouldn't know. My best recollection of Taggert's (offscreen) exit in the 2000s was Scott or someone saying he'd been reassigned to Alaska or something after being the squeaky wheel against Sonny and Jason (and maybe sticking it to Scott's corruption) once too often.

I remember him being reassigned to Alaska initially too lol. Claire Walsh got assigned there too after helping Sonny with some case as well lol.  He could have ended up in Portland eventually though.  Did anyone ever mention what happened to Taggert's partner Garcia?

One way to avoid these dense offscreen backstories for every new charachter is to stop trying to tie them to the existing canvas.

Sometimes making them related to someone works. Best example: Carly. However her backstory was relatively simple: Bobbie is my mother who gave me up for adoption, I'm hiding my identity by using my best friend's name. Everything else that made today's charachter played out onscreen.

I don't mind tying Trina to Taggert especially because GH lacks a black family let alone any family of color. In other cases like Franco, it becomes confusing.

I know this is a soap but GH has had way too many paternity/maternity reveals and switches going on in the Frank era. We have Esme and Willow's parental histories playing out simultaneously. Sometimes the confusion further compounds when writers RETCON what happened offscreen.

Great points! Right now, you've listed Trina, where this thread began, Esme, Willow, and there's even one more Cody Bell! FOUR! Right now. It's kind of ridiculous.

Again, paternity/maternity crap is one of the only stories easily greenlit these days. And they're almost always boring now.

Finally!

Okay the shot of her having to stand on her tippy toes while wearing six inches to kiss him is making me, a grown ass man, kinda melt.

Yeah, that was well done and I'm just grateful it actually happened. @Vee almost had me!!!

SPRINA!!!!

And the fact that it took place in the same place that they first met makes it even sweeter.

So have I 😂

These last two episodes were so good. So many times during sweeps, it seemed like GH would hold back and only let like one storyline reach a turning point. They're finally not doing that and I'm really enjoying it.

This week has been pretty good. GH does have a tendency to drag things out, including in not the most exciting ways in recent years. But this week was good and really felt like a sweeps. This is the best the show has been since OG Sprina met and started to bond. (In addition to other stuff that was going on at that time).

She really did. I definitely agree that the wedding week was very well done.

And I can't wait to see how this week will be.
