Scott Bakula is a pretty classy and humble guy, so this reads like a very classy and humble hard diss to me lol. After months of the new show ducking and weaving around if he might do it:

Yeah he is so classy, I love him, always have lol. Must be pretty bad if he doesn't want any part of it, kind of like Richard Dean Anderson and the MacGyver reboot lol

I don't get why they just didn't have Sam's daughter be the "Sam" of the reboot

Yeah I've been on the fence about this. Such a different time in the world when this (and SLIDERS) was around. Both definitely gather my family around the tv. So it was a family time and a magical one.

The promo looked bad so I skipped it.

NBC also unveiled its “Quantum Leap” reboot, which had fairly average numbers,  a 0.5 in the demo and an audience of 3.3 million.

I wish them well but there's no QL for me without Dean Stockwell. Realistically even  if he were still alive he wouldn't have been able to do this but he and his chemistry with Scott Bakula are what  I still remember.

Get yourself the original series on blu ray! I have it and the episodes look great in HD.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Maybe Ben can leap into Sam and bring him home.

I didn't think it was that bad either. It could never be the original, but at least Sam Beckett is still out there, and they talked about Al. I don't know if it will go past the original episode order, but I thought Raymond Lee had charisma, and he's been good on Kevin can F*** Himself.  I'll probably watch a few more .

I'm really enjoying this series!  I loved the original but I don't miss Bakula.
The current cast is great.  Raymond Lee is excellent!

Fyi, on this show they say that Al passed away last year, and his widow and adult scientist daughter are part of the plot.
