B&B question:

Since I haven't watched the show in its current iteration in forever, has Carter ever had a full-fledged story that was independent of who he was paired with?

Just wondering.

Many like her on Y&R as Chelsea as well, and that's why she is still on the show.  I like her, but do feel her story is kinda played out.  But she is far from the only one on this show!

I can't believe Melissa Claire Egan started on Y&R over 10 years ago. I think MAB was still in charge when MCE was hired. We all know MAB loved ABC leftovers and former sitcom stars.

Egan was okay and fresh in the beginning, but as a matter of fact the actress playing Skye was always much better. It’s a travesty that Chelsea is kept on this show. At least Chloe - another deadweight character - is Esther’s daughter and therefore one of the few ties to actual legacy on Y&R.

Skye was a much more versatile character. You got the sense that the character had the potential to be paired with, or adversarial with any number of other characters. Skye and Adam easily had a co-conspiratorial relationship, sort of Bonnie and Clyde-ish. It's a shame that the character was discharged, and in such a stupid way, that awful and absurd volcano story, gimme a break!🙄

Ironically, had Skye been kept, Chloe might not have appeared so redundant. With both Chelsea and Chloe on the canvas simultaneously, not only did they overlap personality-wise, one seemed to relegate the other to redundancy.

Has Chloe ever met her biological father, Tiny the Plumber?  I think that could be an interesting story to tell, lol.

LOL - I think the closest to Chloe's backstory where flashbacks to Esther giving birth. However, the plumber might have been mentioned early in Chloe's story.
